Congratz on the speakers! Sorry I can't find the body panels. .... Its hard in California to get people to cut up a body. They just don't trust that of an out here and ironically that's exactly what you want... Bummer on people turning about face on you. Sorry to hear that. I've had people asking for things to the point of begging where I end up going down to the yard wanted to 90 plus degrees Fahrenheit and crawling inside of a truck that's about 115 degrees inside to pull out parts like back seat hinges and such... Then I get charged a lot more than I thought I would... Which wouldn't matter anyway because I can never reach the people again. Anything like that from now on I'm just going to stock because I chose to get it unless someone wants to pay me in advance for my hour or more labor. Just absolutely ridiculous that somebody would do that to me knowing very well that I am NOT some auto parts dealer. You know what I mean? That's just one example of about 10 times that's happened to me. Trust me, buyers can be just as much of a knob as the sellers. I know you know that and I in no way mean for that to reflect upon you... Just an example.

Nope, not what I meant ... and you're a bud, that's totally different. I just cant do it for everyone, and I don't barely have time..... No, this was some kid, and I never badmouthed him after/called him out by name.... And I know ur not suggesting I would badmouth you to anyone, mister! Lol.

There's around 15 different instances where I could justifiably humiliate serious jack-holery type characters... Never have. Not to mention,.....YOU'RE A BUDDY doing a "strapped-resto".....and I admire ya big time....for more than that reason alone...I would/will gladly grab u stuff( would want people to do the same thing for me if I were in your situation) , and I totally understand when "free" from someone else has to be your choice.

Can't wait to see what's next man... This is like some of the others that I've waited on but just so much more considering what you had to fight , personally, along this journey. it is looking freaking sweet! I can see why, having so many things repainted and looking so clean, those quarter panels would be absolutely driving you nuts... they would be driving me insane as well !

Best to you on that stubborn old kick! You really do need to get back to some normalcy, and have that one thing hanging you up with so many hiccups along the way... I know I've said it many times man but I really admire your attitude! Not trying to make it weird, not pity, Just admiration, plain and simple.

More pics, more pics, more pics! Lol

I hear you guys on the buyers and sellers. I have sold some parts locally and a handful on here, but these are used parts and I just dont want to take a chance on getting the one guy that wants a part straight from the factory in new condition.

I will call you later this week. I actually forgot about the handle. I did nearly bust my rear on the tire carrier that I have sitting out for you. I intentionally put it in the way so I wouldnt forget about it and today was the first time I have actually been in the shop in a long time. I will plan on getting those things in the mail later this week.

From my experience, the high beam just needs its contacts cleaned. Rent a steering wheel puller form the parts store and pull the wheel. Then there is 4 screws that hold the Combo Switch.

Use a spent .22 shell to fix your horn while you are in there as well. I found my link.>>> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51724567

I will need to find that link I have of me using the 22 shell to fix the horn. You put the shell over the post with a spring to help make a better contact with the brass ring on the back of the steering wheel. I will work on that post later today if all goes well and link it to you.

Hey Terry,.... Will .227 work? Lol. Or. 40? My horn has been acting up and I'm definitely going to have to do this eventually. I know that it's been due to the horn push pad. bookmarking your link now! I also want to upgrade the horns because my truck is going to look like something out of the road warrior and we'll have a horn like the roadrunner! Lol. I really want to do the Cadillac horn mod, but I think there are other routes I can take where I don't have to use a relay and I can actually get a louder horn. I know the 2nd gen 4runners are louder, right? But actually I was thinking of just getting a horn of a Chevy truck or something like that because I remember mine was pretty loud. Seems like GM make some pretty decent horns . I think my neighbors Lexus has a really good horn as well. He has an ISF... V8 Yamaha driven beast! Lol

Hello Mark.. I got a laugh out of the Lexus horn as well. I used to lift the horn ring and put some kind of spacer behind the ring. I think the .22 shell works better. I was in Mistys truck the other day and I never honk the horn. I went to get afriends attention the other day as I was driving by and I have to admit, it wasnt the manliest sound at all.

Cyberhorn...I have never seen one smoked but guess it is possible. I have heard that running Halogen headlights is hard on them. The contacts just have a little carbon on them. Here is the horn fix while you are in there, it probably needs it anyways.
Got the horn to working. I used a .22 shell to make the contact to the steering wheel. I found this on Yotatech and like it better then how I used to fix my horns. I have it listed on my 88 4Runners build thread for more details about getting the horn to work on the first page. Will add this info at a later time.

Combo switch is around $40 at the boneyard here if you can find one. I just cleaned the contacts with some 1500 grit sand paper. Have it listed on the 88 runner build thread as well.
