Had a full on post for you but basically I will just say that I'm a little leary of the dash still to this day. I hate taking it in and out for one thing just due to how many things are broken by R&R. It's a piece of cake but I just know they can break...

the real problem I have is that they usually look to have hot spots. The other problems that is not any less important to me is the fact that it is hard to get ones that dim. I don't need them to dim all the way down per se, but I noticed that some of them are so bright I would feel like it's somewhat of a distraction. As far as the power saving? Oh heck yes! Just those other things concern me.

You know I love LED lights as I have them all over my interior... Soon to be more under the dash and in the panel pockets in the rear ... But with those I don't worry about flooding or hotspot.

As far as the tail lights in corner lights that is something I definitely will be doing As I am already putting the LED turn signals on to my life addicted off road bumper. I still need to get the resistor for that kama so I need to look that up as to which one to get. Without it the LED turn signals flash very rapidly, and for some reason many of the vendors haven't thought just include the resistor in the kit. So I will likely be doing my corner lights and rear tail light assembly. You know me and I am all for shopping around but I'm a little leary of using companies other than super bright LEDs or one other that I use. The customer service is so great and I never get any hassle when I call to ask them if I would be able to return them if something happened. their products seem to be a great quality as well. I hate to waste funds in any way but I don't think she's in customer service over savings is something I wanna waffle with. Know what I mean?

Good info on the differences between the colored lights in those lenses or behind the dash. I would definitely use the colored ones and once again I don't want things to be so bright without the ability to dim them?

I think you probably know that I have to do off road lights as well. My good old hundred and fifty wat 8 inch DICK CEPEK halogen lights just simply will not easily fit this bumper... I can make them fit but the problem is it will literally cut off almost all air flow through that area.

So for that reason I have seriously considered now just doing a light bar across the front. Unfortunately it looks as though it only leaves me so much room for that as well, and the light tabs are a certain distance apart, basically set up for 7 inch off road lights.... The round type.

I will just be doing 1 of these styles and Eric over at that shop has several different length LED light bars.... But here are my choices...

Ouch!!!>>>

This is going to be one of those cranial embolism type choices.

Question on where bumper filler goes

Does the bumper filler go between the bumper and the grill?

Or between the bumper and the valence?

My '87 pickup has a tube bumper, and I wanna go back to stock.

Thanks,
Dan

@mark well its all in the "style" of the led you get that make hot spots the ones where the led all face one way YEP your gona get a hot spot the ones like this

ones made like this spread the light around it
which is what i used for gauge lighting corner markers places where you want all around light

behind the warning lights i used a single SMD LED like this with the socket attached i didnt have the sockets so this helped but if id had them i would have used the insert like a bulb type as these are fiddley in their fit

the ones i used dim 90% of the knob travel they do get down to a very dim brightness

OH and! i found a seller that sels the LED version of the switch bulbs! for their internal lighting

blue or white in color

Good god! Its still in Huntington Park?!?! That means it hasn't left my city yet. What the heck they've had friday till now to ship it out. Well saturday since I dropped it off late on friday. But still... wow that should have shipped out sooner. Ill check it out tomorrow. If its still in Huntington Park tomorrow afternoon when i get off work I'll drop by in person and ask them what is the big hold up. K

That's the reason why I always use UPS. I just figured since this was a small package I might as well use USPS to ship to save some $$$.

me too 1st is just a preop

the bandages ive been using doc wanted me to have an ace elastic wrap around the foot keeps the swelling down and dressing in place well it caused a group of blisters along the back of the ankle and the pressure caused another one on top of the foot where the big toe tarsal (bone of the foot) ends after i got the 1/4 amputation of the foot as its been getting HOT here an my feet sweat worse than the rest of me

so now lucky me tape to hold dressing on bottom of foot an leave the rest out in the air to help the huge blisters

yay....

Just catching up on your build. Glad to hear you are getting some miles on your runner. Hope the operation goes well for you today. I know you have been battling this for a long time and it is getting old. Seems hard that some wounds just wont heal.

I have oral surgery tomorrow and they are going to pull some fat out of my cheek to fill in where the tooth root and the bone area that is missing. Sounds like both of us are going to be hobbled up for a few days.

Simple wounds I used to think nothing of are now making me always wonder about the what if this one doesnt heal. One of the joys of getting older I guess.

yes, I'm scared to open up my baby. living on the wet coast in British Columbia has some "interesting" effects on yotas, but as far as that goes mine is in relatively good shape, just lots of little things that seem to have disappeared over its lifetime or have rusted off

well dr appoint went well he likes it likes how the foot is filling in what he removed said im doing right on the blisters they look fine (got them from the bandages making the shoe fit wrong so adjusted shoe an made more blisters...sigh)

OMG the heat driving from buhl to twin it was like having my face in the oven GOT to get my AC fixed truck ran excellently middle of the gauge on temp

trucks speakers are trash buzzing an popping, this month due in part to the foot which for a week with the skin graft ill have my old friend the wound vac on it again im gona get speakers for her

got some on amazon saved in my cart paying a couple bucks more on the 4inch to get free shipping so 38 bucks gets me 4inch 3 way Pyle's in front bigger 6x9's for the rear which will also cover up the mess someone made of the speaker holes and junk things that make sound in there right now hung off a single drywall screw

IF people i contact would stop selling the metal i need to others had.. a passenger fender the seller sold to some one else after i haggled about the price of a AC vent for the center of my dash

fine... im about to make i want to buy thread on the classifieds so many HAVENT responded to my queries startin to wonder if its just me mark jason an terry with a few others i could count on both hands around this place

we went to the drive in last night i nearly volunteered my runner as the roof comes off but forgot the speakers are toast the drive in uses FM transmitter for the sound so we sat in folding chairs an the kids laid out in the back of the 90

speaking of anyone know how much how hard it is to replace the high beam switch in the column?
