I think you'd likely find the replacement head a better choice, especially with a broken in loper in it, already, ya know??? Paying another hour labor .... and then what's next, right? I mean.... worth at least looking into the replacement if it's in good shape. Just his head, or the rocker assembly with it? How much?

These have about 20,000 miles on them. $150 for the bundle, shipping to NC was estimated at $50.
as he's in utah an im in idaho shipping should theoretically be cheaper but i dont have 200 to drop on it

the 50-60 is flat they boil the head reseat the valves (lap them 3 angle seat) check it for cracks install the new valve stem seals and do the helicoil of the #3

50-60 for all that work? Well, hmmmm, and you don't have the 2-hundy to slap on that.... Yeah, maybe pass on the other head. BUT, MAN it's gotta be tempting? hehe... BTW, 130$ or so delivered on a cam of your own Hmmmmmmm, ... or not, lol.

BTW.... was it you that said you like trippy/unique mystery/thriller/voyer-mock type movies, like "Silent House"?(all shot in one take, NO KIDDING, lol. Was actually pretty trippy, TWISTED twist, etc.).. Anyway, watched one I didn't think, I'd like, but that I ended up liking, tonight, from the TFI/AMEX people(Tribeca Film Institute w/AMEX).... They have a bunch out right now. MOSTLY ODD, lol. I think they did Vincent DeNofrio's first directing, "Don't Go Into the Woods"(or something like that, lol)... Well, this one was with Nick Stahl, who's not my fav, but he was pretty good in this.. It was called "388 Arletta Ave." All shot from the view of these Planted cameras by this SICKO! Totally toys with his victims, ... gets them to turn into their own worst enemies, etc.. If it wasn't you, ........sorry man. Just thought you'd appreciate the 'Cams/Puter' angle of this guys M.O., lol.

Hey man the fender and hood look good like you said about mine starting to look like a runner again. Sucks that your licence plate light/toyota badge on the tail gate is in such bad shape, you should be able to pick one up fairly cheap lord knows there's enough tailgates out there that have been destroyed, if I had a spare I'd send it to ya. I don't remember seeing any pics of your quarter panels before, the rust in yours isn't a lot worse than mine was, not a hard fix just time consuming. Great work so far.

Your runner is coming along nicely. With your shop labor that is far cheaper to get done then buying a new head. My shop doesnt install the valve seals, I just took it for granted that they did so I have to replace the valve seals on Mistys this winter. It smokes occasionally. Still kicking myself in the butt for that one.

Knowing how to do graphics on the computer would be so nice as to see what it is going to look like when done.

I hear you on cleaning the shop. I spent alot of time the other day cleaning mine up and now you cant even tell. It is a disaster.

Man William. I wish I could help you. The fenders, tailgate, everything really that I got all my parts off of at the junk yard a while ago were all in great condition. You guys in other states would all jave a ball coming out here to CA. It'd be like a kid in a candy store with all the stuff you find in these yards.

if there were any 1st gen runners in my region of idaho parts availability here is very little im using the steering box out of a 93 just to show how much im adapting parts

thank you for the offer trust me im grateful for every bit of help the passeger side fender has rust which im gona be using the lip an edge of the dead drivers fender (it got bent so bad it wasnt repairable) to replace the rusted gone bits of the passenger side
an of course the rear wheel well arches on both sides lol someone used spray foam to fill the rust holes which made it worse (see mark! told ya so LOL)

well i had days of sanding dust rust from the runner leaves an even corn silk blown in from all over the shop used to be a milking shed an the floor is rough concrete so it gets swept then vacuumed to get the dirt up it lasts a few weeks before more blows in

i moved a few things around as kris has a tendency to drop things in the first clear spot out of the way of traffic so that all got put where it belongs or out of the way

got the tailgate off *insert colorful curse words here* darn wiring loom clips fighting me all the way! broke a few more of the window trim clips even being incredibly careful still cant get the lower license plate clips out they are flat in there an aint coming out made a tool for the weatherstripping push in little clips most popped right out ive got 3 i need to put some permatex around to make sure they stay in an seal the tiny tears

the very messy back area of my truck sans tailgate now i know it looks horrible but i know what each part is an most of it is engine related
