Special thanks to my friend Brian and his friend Michael for the lead on this newly acquired piece of machinery.

Rented another u-haul tow dolly. Goes to show that even a supercharged 2.7 can haul something if it needs to.

Say hello to my little friend! 1988 Pickup Xtra Cab, 22RE 5spd... AKA Donor Truck 2.0. Runs and drives!

I'll entertain part out requests in the near future!

It spent the last 10 years sitting under a 17 foot cover, also under a car cover. No sun meant no cracks in the tires, and overall a good shape.

It does not run all too great, but the engine isn't what I want it for. The transmission and transfer case are in functioning order Lucky for me, it has a brand new clutch included!

Just for kicks... what do you think? 33x12.50/15 BFG M/T KM1

Saw the opportunity at work, this is where the new cars are delivered to customers. Street driven until I can get a few more things sorted out like a decent lift kit and turbo support bracket. Sure is purdy though

5-speed swap coming very, very soon. I'm pretty busy with other things in the meantime, time is scarce.

It may not hold where it connects to the half hose on the left, so I may have to cut a small piece of the old hardpipe to slip between them for a better solid connection.

ChildrenOfBodom, long time no talk! Hope you’re doing well. I realize this thread is old, but want to pick your brain.

I recently purchased a bone stock ‘86 Turbo 4Runner. 3 days in, the oem hose (pictured above) on mine burst. Fortunately I was in a parking lot 4 miles from home when it blew, so not bad. After a quick tow home, I pulled it out to find it needs replacing as it looks original. However, what I thought would be a simple replacement, has since turned into much more. That hose has been discontinued from Toyota and no aftermarket company offers a replacement. Great…

I assume you don’t have any leads on anyone hoarding a stock pile of new old stock of these do you? Or do you have any good ideas for a homemade replacement? I’m thinking about taking a long coolant hose, cutting it in half and inserting some sort of T fitting in between to make everything work properly. Irritating no one makes a replacement hose for this part.

Thoughts?

EDIT:
I no longer need the oem part. I pieced together parts and successfully remade this part. Works great.
