Wow !!! very nice job on doing all that work on the 4runner , man there was alot of work .
I just read all this from page 6 looks like you learned alot thru all this .
Congradulations !!!

I have a couple of doors I am more than happy to give to you , if you can pick them up or know anybody thats going your way from san jose .
I am about ready to get rid of the parts truck in my drive way and the drivers door is still there along with the rear one .
They are silver but in great shape , and will be going to the scrap yard in a week or so if you dont take them.
either way let me know .

again Congradulations !

dude bro man! im still working on my rig...its pathetic. slow and steady builds the yota.

i think you may still have to cut those spring perches off the new axle and mount new ones on to compensate for the 3rd angled up...maybe not as bad as the coil perches though.

i found a trail that is disgusting... we should go hit it when we are done.

Okay so what ive been up to lately.

My buddy Johnny is in the U.S Coast Guard stationed in Oregon. He saw my truck when i sas'd it before he left and weve been talking and he decided it was time to Sas his as well. So he got leave for a week and we got his truck done. So Johnny, I, and 85toy worked on it.

On to the pics.

This is how i received the axle at my house. Theres a bit of surface rust going on near the beach up there. :cut:

So after some cleaning was done we managed to get the axle to this.

For the yotatech crowd. When you decide to do the conversion or even just rebuilding your axle. If you want to get rid of the brake dust shield you can either pay $30 to buy an eliminator kit, or spend 5 minutes making your own. :chop:

So here is my buddy Johnny's truck.
An 88' single cab waiting to be :chop:

Don't worry we got him a new bumper too!

Ended up with the 5" tg sas kit up front and some stock 2wd ford f-150 springs in the rear.

Looks good. After a 30 minute test drive, he left for his 8hr drive back to his station in Oregon.

Made it there safely! So i guess all my welds were good and it seems we know what we are doing.

overall it turned out much nicer than mine, including the quality/appearances of my welds.

Thanks for serving Johnny! Happy to have helped you with that project.

Got the 4runner back on the ground tonight.

Need to finish up the brakes, need to find shocks, and need to see what my options are about my parking brake.
