Ya i've already ordered them. that'l give me the adjustment from 1" to 3" more wheelbase. if i end up having to trim 2" out of the rear fenders, it won't be the end of the world

I hear you there. I grew up in southwestern Pa. I miss the mountains more than anything.

the axle is moved back 3" that's why i posted it, cuz i'm moving mine back 2" so it'l look similar when its all done. I know it looks a little goofy but having a longer wheelbase will be worth it to me

I thought that picture would generate a little more feedback oh well...
i added a couple more pictures of the moab trip (see previous page).
Today I made a trip to the car-guy's wallmart aka harbor freight and bought an angle finder and a few other goodies, so i can resume work on my rear axle tonight. i'm hoping to get it all buttoned up this weak cuz I've got a camping trip planned for the 26th

Cool, look forward to seeing your axel relocated! Is your front axel moved forward, can't remember. So what will that put your total wheelbase at?

2" should be a nice stretch. Will help keep the tire out of the front of the wheel well. Whats your plan for a rear drive shaft?

I had the top 2 leaves on the "new" springs re-arched at a local springshop for 30$ and they have a lot more droop than the old ones...i'll be using the same 4 leaves on the bottom as before so hopefully the ride hight won't change much. i'm pretty happy with how it all turned out. I've got the driveshaft in the shop at the moment, but it should be done by the end of the week and ready to roll for this weekend

Nice work, looks great! Can't wait to see how your new longer wheel base helps you out on the trails!

thanks ed, i hope 2" will make some difference on the trail, every little bit helps right? i had to have the driveshaft re-made anyways after clocking the pinion so i figured i might as well.
