got back from moab yesterday. had an Awesome trip! it was hot, 90's during the day but we camped by the river and it cooled off nicely after sundown, so it was tolerable. Pics coming soon.
I had the windows tinted before we left, it actually helped a lot with the heat

Thanks guys. no i didn't scrape my sliders...we didn't do as much wheeling as i'd hoped cuz the group wanted to do some hiking and then we left early monday to beat the traffic.... still had a lot of fun though
ed i did 15% on the back and 20% on the front 2, the topper is factory tinting (i may go back and add some to it at some point)

Nice pics! Man I think I need to tint my windows, yours looks GOOD!
I really like the way your rear bumper looks, I need to do something similar, surprised I haven't been pulled over yet, lol.

after this trip i've bumped a few things to the top of my project list. Im going to clock my rear pinon angle so my driveshaft isn't so exposed. While i have the rear end off, i'm going to stretch the rear 2" as well. I recall from my previous chevy spring adventures, 91+ suburban springs are 4" shorter than the truck springs (60"). so by moving the spring hangers back 4", the rear axle will move back 2 and i don't have to touch the shackle hangers. i need to relocate the spring hangers anyway cuz the drivers side is off about 1/8" which has caused my rig to "dog track" all these years.
so i took a trip to the local salvage yard:

suburban springs are 60" while truck springs are 64". still much longer than any other stock springs so should provide a decent ride.

Man I know I say it a lot, but im totally jealous of the scenery and trails you guys have!
That's good info to know about the suburban leaf springs being shorter, I would have guessed they would all be the same length. Are you planning to trim the rear fenderwells when you move the axel back 2"?

I've been planning to clock it for a while now cuz i keep hitting the driveshaft on rocks. to keep from getting vibes i'll have to add a double cardan joint from a front driveshaft, i already have one lying around. I'll run a TG triple-drilled flange to make it work
Ed: I don't expect to have to trim too much, that's why i'm only moving it 2" instead of 5 or 6. i need to cut out some rust on the back of the fenders anyway so i'm hoping it will work out

I was surprised at how much contact I was getting when I first swapped over to the AllPro lift, and I only moved the axel back 1"....those 3 hole spring perches saved me alot of headache! I'd totally recommend them, the added adjustability is worth it... with your skills you could easily build your own.
