I hear you Terry. I always try to take care when removing anything that I need. And I usually always replace what I removed in order to get what I was looking for.

Here in denver there are 2 yards dedicated exclusively to toyoa trucks/4runners, so its nice that we can go grab about anything we need, but the other edge of the sword is that everything is $$$
Thanks man. I'm trying.

Man that would be nice to have access to all those parts like that. I can imagine that they would carry a hefty price tag.

I love your runner as well. Have been watching your thread for some time now.

Well did a little more painting today. Decided to do the passenger door while I had some time on my lunch break. Looks like one of the cans he mixed up for me had a little more black and purple in the paint code than needed, as it turned out almost black. Looks kind of cool though.

Oh well. Ill cover it up with some of the other stuff that matches up nice. Either way this stuff is really nice paint.

Not sure if I am going to clear over top of it yet or not.

Threw some more paint at the runner. I did the drivers door and blended it into the front fender. I think it turned out pretty good.

Tomorrow I'm going to fix the dark paint on the drivers door and blend it into the fender.

Then all I have left is the back half, and hood.

I'm not sure , but I might paint the topper black.
What do you guys think?

It is coming along nicely. I always like the top painted to the rest of the truck. When the top is black and the rest of the truck is a different color, it looks like a pickup with a shell on it to me. Just my preference. Always like the same color on both pieces.

Thanks Terry. That's a great point. I never thought of it that way.

I think the top would look good both ways, but it seems like everyone paints them black, the charcoal grey paint looks really good, I agree with Terry, I think it would look good painted to match the body IMHO.

Thanks ED. I think you guys persuaded me to keep it the same color.

Thanks bud. I really need to make it out your way and hang out. How far are you again from Omaha ?

We are getting hammered with weather again.

Had some hail this afternoon and already got 2+" of rain from 2pm till now.

And still coming down hard. Looks like it might come your way.

That'd be sweet to hang out with another yota guy. Just googled it and it's 217 miles from my place to omaha. The rain started here about 3:30 and hasn't let up yet. Nothing severe yet tho. All the surrounding areas are in a flash flood warning.

That's not that far.

We have been in a whole mess of awnings tonight and still in them. Flash flood, Areal flood advisory, tornado watch, severe thunderstorm watch. It just won't stop raining. Already have water in the basement
