Hello Mark... The truck originally had blue interior. As of now I am going to go with a gray interior as my door panels that I have found which are the cloth SR5 panels. If I can find a nice set of tan or brown interior panels I will go with that but those will be hard to find. Since the backing is blue and is in bad shape, I plan on finding some nice gray cloth to glue on to the back panel. I am also thinking of trying to add some more pouches or something to make the panel more useful for holding things. Still have a few ideas turning on my head on that on. I want to find some kind of nice material that will make that panel look nice in there. It may not be an exact piece that Toyota used, but hopefully something that will compliment the interior.

Hello Cyberhorn.. I have thought of trying to find a couple of more of the nets or looking thru the yards for something, maybe even something out of a Chevy or Ford. That could be a more useful storage area with a little creativity.

I have one kid staying at a friends house tonight and my other kid has a friend staying at our house. I know what you mean on that. This time of their lives will keep you busy. Did that AC hose work out for you? Soon we are going to be working on heater issues, Urgh!!! I do not care for the cold. We had a cold snap and I just remembered how much I don't care for winter.

I am making AC bigger priority this winter on my trucks. This was the last summer I am doing without AC. It was miserable at times. Your foot and my tooth issue just wont go away. Oct 26th will be my third year of this issue. Just wont end.

I finally got the backing off of the panel. It took a lot longer then I had planned on. I am going to try and make it to a fabric store in the next few days and see what I can find.

Pain in the rear getting this stuff off.

I got the truck painted and in clear coat. Right as I was pulling the mask off of the shelf, it caught and broke a head strap. So I repaired it with some duct tape to get me thru. While using a razor to do some trimming, I sliced my finger good, ouch!!

Hunter was helping me to hang the tailgate up and when I was already painting, I seen he had a smudge on the inside of the tail gate and was able to cover it up. The inside of the tail gate is beat up and I will cover it with some bed liner later on. Still alot better shape then it was.

I had some clear coat that was getting old so I used it on the bed sides and the wheel wells to use it up.

Here is bed done now. I hope to start getting the truck all together to and get the shop back in order, I have the motor, tranny and several other things I want to get back on the truck to get it out of the way.

Thanks Guys, I did get it back on. It is just sitting on there and half of the bed panel screws are missing so I will need to pick some up at the boneyard next time I am out there. The bed will be coming back off when I get the fuel guage unit and I will paint the bottom side of it then as it will be under its own power then and so much easier to move. I had to have help from Misty using the cherry picker and dont trust it enough to hold it up while I paint. It will get painted though.

View with tailgate and side panels in. Also got the gas door on as well. Not sure what I will do with the bumper. It is bent and I might could straighten it out. Should I paint the bumper the body color? I do have a chrome bumper for this as well. I will be doing the chrome trim on this truck.

I got one roll of Peel and Seal for the doors so as I can start putting some of the pieces back together and get the shop straightened back out. Since I have last used Peel and Seal, they have changed the color of the packaging.

I overlapped it starting from the bottom like you would a house so if any moisture got it in would drain out to the bottom. I got about 95% covered and that should help with heat and noise.

I got the panels on as well. These panels are for doors that have vent wing windows. I would rather have the wing windows and I am sure kornhuskerwizard has done a write up on them. I have one for the passenger side but not for the drivers side. I will work on those some time down the road. Also I want to get 3rd gen door pockets instead of the thinner door pockets that I have now. That too will be a future projects.

One roll of Peel and Seal did both doors and one strip on the back of the cab that I will be doing when I get some more Peel and Seal.

I wish we were closer as well. Sometimes an extra hand would be nice. I would swap as well. The solid windows is todays trend and gives a cleaner look but I still like having the wing glass for circulation of air. Do you think the gray interior will go with the color of the body? I would prefer tan or brown but like the SR5 panels.

I just cant see the motor going in red as I just didnt think it would match. I got one half painted and will be doing the rest of the motor tomorrow and hope to get it in the truck.

Still trying to keep up with my build cost and want to move it where I can find it a little easier when I add to it.

I want to keep up with my build cost. Below is what I Have Spent and Expect to Spend. I got the truck for free as I bought it with another truck and the frame was rusted to the front of the axle. It was to be a driver and I parted it out as it would of been unsafe to drive. Actual cost of my 85 is zero for purchasing and actually a little profit from parting the other truck, but I am staying at zero for cost.

Spent so far.
Motor Rebuild, I had a head so no cost for it......800
Clutch............................................ ...............150
SR5 Tach.............................................. ..........20
SR5 Door Panels............................................ ..40
Main Harness........................................... ........50
Injector Harness........................................... ..100
Denso Plug Wires............................................. 25
Denso Plugs............................................. ........ 8
O2 Sensor............................................ ...........25
Peel and Seal.............................................. .....30
Paint............................................. ................207
Sandpaper...(1500 grit)....................................10
Exhaust........................................... ..............100
Windshield........................................ .............200
Brakes...(Spent so far).....................................150
Battery........................................... .................80
Total so far............................................... ...1954

Expect/still to Spend.
Tires............................................. ................600
Front Axle Rebuild........................................... 250
Distributor Rotor............................................. .25
Distributor Cap............................................... ..15
Fluids............................................ .................100
Carpet............................................ ................100
Interior Paint............................................. .......40
Wiper Blades............................................ ........20
Stripes........................................... .................200
Front Bumper............................................ ........75
Tail Light Conversion Kit.....................................25

I caught a break on paint as I had some clear coat from 2 previous projects that I was able to use. Peel and Seal cost will go up a little bit. To replace some supplies I had such as a roll of 80 and 180 grit sandpaper disk, I would have to add another $70 but I do not need it anymore for this project. It will get added to some future project.

Right now I will have about 3500 into it and it will be what I want once I get past the wiring harness issue. Sure there will be a few more expenses to come along but this is in the ball park of what I think it will cost and will keep this updated for myself.

Thanks Chris...I am eventually going to do the most of the cab for noise and temperture control.

Hello Cyberhorn... The interior isnt set in stone just yet. I am still debating on it. I would prefer the tan or brown. The plastic shades that was on this truck I would of kept but when I tried to take them off, they were so brittle with age they cracked on me, grrr. I was hoping to save them but the glue the PO used was tough!!!
