Should be able to get them mounted tonight. One of my headlight surrounds is kind of FUBAR, can't get the parking light lens off so will need to find another one.

The lights themselves feel extremely well built. I am happy with them.
Since I know someone will ask I went with the 5x7's instead of round headlights so that if I ever get a newer truck (want a 3rd Gen x cab) I can swap these over..

Ran into a snag I should have known about, 82-83 head light buckets don't line up on 79-81 so had to head to hardware store for nuts and bolts..
Took the time to clean and paint the buckets

Oh wonderful!!! Looks like it will change the looks of the front pretty drastically. So first impressions when you turned them on did it look like night and day compared to stock?

Haven't had a lot of time to do much but had a couple of hours today to finish converting my headlights to LED`s. It would have been a 30 minute job if I had stuck with round headlights but oh well.

I went ahead and moved my turn signals down below the head lights, a little obscured but they are plenty bright.

I will try to get some night shots later on.
Should have time tomorrow before I have to head to the fire station for an afternoon class to finish the clutch.
Life just hasn't been cooperating lately..

Last time I called the dealer I struck out but earlier this week I got lucky and got a guy willing to dig into the computer a little ways and ended up with l/r 79-81 and l/r 82-83.
79-81 passenger side 81611-89101 $9.28
79-81 driver side 81621-89101 $9.28
82-83 passenger side 81611-89121 $8.22
82-83 driver side 81621-89121 $8.22

they also still had the lense gaskets in stock, but not the headlight bezels.
I think the price was good, did not expect to find these things new. if you find them in the boneyard they are usually extremely white and cracked like hell.

Got my Trans back in yesterday but than my transmission lift took a dump while I was trying to slide the duals back...so hopefully next week will pick up a new one and get this POS back together..

I picked up a couple of sets of wanna be Rigid style lights cheap, I wanted a set of the Dually Fog lights but couldn't justify the expense.
Found a set of Rigid light covers cheap do thought I would take a chance
Drilled a recess in the side for the clip

Fits nice and tight,
