I am still debating where to mount it. If I go with a roof mount I would pick up another light bar and need to fab some sort of desert type light mount. The other consideration is that I still need it to fit in the garage. It is close now..

Off road patrol...nah..

Decided it was time to mount up some rock lights.

Still need to route the wiring. Debating about a separate switch for the front, middle and rear lights.
Thinking of adding a diode to the rear circuit so the back lights would come on with the back up lights.

I like the idea of mounting them to the sliders, I may have to incorporate the brackets for some LEDs before I mount the sliders.
Is it the angle or do your lights on the sliders look low, like they would get nicked on a rock.

Been collecting them off eBay for 2-3 years..

They do look a little low but not below the slider. A rock certainly could take them out.
I saw these in Volcom's build thread: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/waterpr...p-dc-12v-91953
I will probably order a strip to see how they are, much lower profile.

Been looking for a way to have decent sound but not have to worry about unhooking wires every time I take off a door, which is actually a lot.
Followed a boat with a wakeboard mount...thought cool. Picked up a set of wakeboard speakers cheap and mounted them to the age.
They wouldn't quite fit where I wanted due to the angle of the cage so I made an extension

Another idea for you roll cagers out there looking for sound, Jeep rollbar speakers:

I know, I know, "It's a Jeep thing" but when you need sound, you need sound!

I won't let the noise pollution be too loud. It will be close but the top should clear, the cage guy didn't get the rear bar as high as I asked him to.

I looked at something like those but with the 4 roof bars those wouldn't work in my case. Plus these were about half the cost of those.

Thanks Zach, been with out sounds for about three years.
Top has been kind of on the backburner do to weather, motivation and life..it would probably only take 3-4 afternoons to get it finished

Hopefully sooner than later. Been making some timing tweaks etc so hopefully take it through DEQ in a few weeks. I need to get my top back on. Should be able to get the top painted and the windows back in.

To Do List-no particular order-
-Pass Emissions, new tags
-Paint Top
-Install windows
-Finish the steel inserts to allow the top to bolt down tight to the bed rail
-re install dual cases
-Convert HID headlights back to H4's
-Finish up some wiring odds and ends-install Blue Sea Aux fuse box
-Convince my wife I need bigger tires

To get it to wheeling condition I just need to throw the duals back in and tow it out to the trails but I like to be able to drive it to work every now and then.

Got time to wire up the rear speakers and founda set of small speakers that I mounted on the lower legs of the front cage.
Gotta love it when you find 3 splices in less than 3 feet. Pic doesn't show all of them. This is just an example of some of the stuff I have run into over the last few years

But at least I can turn the radio up over the sound of the tires now..
