The tax return perks of having a kid are great, but I would have a whole hell of a lot more money if I didn't have my son sucking my bank account dry! I wouldn't trade it for anything though. My son is just shy of 2 now and he's finally getting to the point where I can safely have him roam around the garage while I'm tinkering. Its's awesome!

Sitting her feeding my daughter and still trying to decide if I'm gonna pucker up and buy a weber and the accessories for it. I just don't know about it lol. My carb works good so I'm sketchy to replace it. I'm thinking the final judgement will be after I get the 4.88s in the rear and go find some hills. If its still bad uphill I will get the weber. If its good I will load my boat and try pulling it up some hills and see if I can do 65 towing it. If not I will get the weber probably.

Whoa, pump the brakes! If you want Bilsteins I have the part numbers.
The front shock is part #24-185684 (Collapsed 12.87" / Extended 20.49" / Travel 7.62")
The rear shock is part #33-186542 (Collapsed 15.12" / Extended 24.31" / Travel 9.19")
I did a lot of research and calling around and found out that Those shocks are the ideal shocks for a 3" lift on our trucks. They are exactly what i got on my truck and I can verify that they properly fit. For what little more they cost over ProComp, it is definitely worth it!

I got mine new on ebay for $286 shipped. I had the 5125's on my old truck and loved them; they are great shocks plus they look really good. My lift isn't OEM, it's OME (Old Man Emu). They are 2" springs with +2" shackles so I have about 3" of lift. What springs are you running?

I looked up those part numbers and the fronts are for a ford ranger. I can get them from just about anywhere it look like. What do you think about the ES3000s though? The guy said that's what I should get for a good on the street ride since "bilstein shocks didn't fit the front" lol.

The idiots at 4wheelparts are clueless - they apparently don't realize that bilsteins can fit more than one application and they rely on the manufacture's intended application. Trust me, they'll fit perfectly. I've heard that the Pro Comps can be stiff too, but a lot of your problem is going to be with those Ruff Country springs. New shocks will help, but not that much. I had some Ruff Country springs before and they beat the hell out of me! Honestly, I would highly recommend Old Man Emu springs. Obviously, I haven't driven my truck yet, but I can already tell that they are going to be a good riding spring. They have a nice soft bounce when I jump on the frame and flex really well for a stock length spring. My Ruff Country springs barely budged when I would jump on it.

Yeah, we both learned our lessons the hard way. You'll replace it all eventually when your chiropractor bills get out of hand. LOL Spend now, save later has been my moto throughout my build and the RC lift was the primary reason for that. I'm really cheap and I don't like to pay full price for anything so I'll search for weeks to find the best deals on the best parts - most of the time, it comes down to finding somebody that ships for free. I spent a little under $900 on my suspension for OME springs, Bilsteins, TG shackles and new OEM hanger pins, but it is exactly what I wanted and needed so I'm ok with it. There certainly are cheaper and more expensive kits out there, but I think that my setup will be the best compromise between daily driving comfort and light to medium offroad capability. Besides, $900 is starting to become a drop in the bucket compared to what I have spent on this damn truck so far! LOL

My brake parts came in today. Can definitely tell by the boxes they were very old stock. But everything look to be in good shape. The new master cylinder I ordered turned out a lot better than I thought. I thought I ordered a new one without a resivor cap and sensor and ended up getting a nice napa one with a cap and sensor.
3rd member should I arrive tomorrow.
