Ordered a couple parts off eBay today. I found a new windshield weather strip (made for chrome trim) off a post from KawaZX636 I saw on another thread (thanks dude!). I was extremely happy to find that as my windshield has developed a nasty leak at the top of the passenger side. Also ordered a 4 pack of OEM grill clips. I was very surprised at how many OEM parts there was on eBay for my truck right now, coolest thing I saw was a kit with all the OEM pieces for the rear window latch. I am also looking at another gasket for the rear window but it doesn't say if its for sliding rear window or not. I'm also thinking about putting my winch bumper back, I really miss having the winch even though I don't really use it anymore. I was much more comfortable having it in case I ever did need it than not having it.
In other new my wife delivered out twins at 12:28 and 12:30 pm on November 21st! The girl was born first weighing 6.2 lbs and the boy was second at 5.11 lbs. Everyone is doing good.

I'm still waiting for mine to be grown and on his own... He still expects me to buy his food, change his diapers, drive him to daycare, give him baths, etc... It's an awesome trip though, but I couldn't imagine multiplying that awesomeness by 2! You are a far braver man that I am my friend! Congrats!

Windshield gasket should be delivered today. Really thinking about selling the bug deflector on my truck. Its been cool and all but I'm about tired of it. Probably put it on eBay.

You have come along ways on your truck. Just getting caught up on what all you have done. I know where an 82 has been sitting for sometime and hope it stays there for awhile longer. Reading up on your progress just increased the itch for it. I like how you did the overhead console. Great job!!

Im definitely going to regear the truck. I searched two yards for the 4runners that have 4.88s stock but no luck. Truck was running great like a screaming demon today lol. Usually call my truck "Rusty" but might change it to screaming demon lol. Back on topic...Probably going to buy the rear chunk off eBay in a couple weeks and stick it in. Thinking about buying those brake hardware kits and shoes and doing that while the drum covers are off. Then buy some Pro Comp ES3000 shocks and most likely a Rock Ripper header. Gina pass on the Weber for now. Contemplating an air/fuel gauge too. Gotta love tax return time!

You could fab and clamp a piece of shield to the exhaust pipe next to the shock, maybe at least before you replace the shocks. That should be easy to do -if the pipe is really baking the shock (when it gets warmer outside!).

Pingpong has the right idea. Since I replaced my floorpans and got rid of the factory heat shields, what I plan on doing with my exhaust is cutting some 3.25" exhaust pipe in half to make a heat shield. I'll just weld some bungs that are about 1/2" tall to my 2.25" exhaust pipe so that I can bolt the "shields" directly on to the exhaust in order to get about a 1/2" air gap between my ehxaust and the heat shield to disappate the heat. It'lll basically sit right on top of the exhaust where it runs under the cab to keep from baking me in the cab during the summer.

Ok uncle sam was good to me this year since I had twins haha. I get truck parts, wife gets the floors in the house done. I ordered a 3rd member off ebay this morning with 4.88 gears for the rear. Ordered all the stuff to redo the rear brakes and parking brake when I put the 3rd member in. Tomorrow I'm going to call 4 wheel parts and order a set of Bilstein 5100s for the truck.
