is that the same for 93 t100? and is it with stock rims and no adjustment to the offset?

Get a 285 its a aprox. 33x11.30 which looks better than a 33x10.50 but wont rub like a 12.50

For anyone that's searching, 235 75 15 tires can fit on a 87 2wd pickup with no lift.. thats probably the max size. You will have to bend some of the back fender to get better turning, and a wheel with the bigger offset will definitely is suggested, but your are good for cruising around in this..oh and no offroading or hard bumps.

I have 33x12.5 R15's but only a 4" lift OME medium spring in the back and ARB 23.4mm bars in the front. they onlt rub on the right front but I do not know the offset on the rim. the stock 4:10's suck with the 22re though.

Probable a retarded question but will the 16" rims off a 4th gen 4runner fit on a 3rd gen 4runner?

I just got some 285/75/16 toyo ATs on a 2001 4runner ltd with an ome run3 lift and 1.25" hub adapters all the way around. I have a little rub on the front tires from the rear of the fender well I guess I am going to have to do a lil trimming

Does anybody have any feedback for 235/85/R16 (32"x9.25") tires on stock 4runner rims? I'm wanting to pick up some General Grabber AT-2's and i want a tall tire that's a little narrower than stock so i can get the height while not feeling much (if any) difference in mpg's and power. My way of thinking is i'm going up an inch and in an inch so it should equal out, right? I know the tire will be a little stiffer than a wider tire and i'm fine with that but i'm open to your thoughts. I will be running this tire thru normal condition and wet, icy and up to a couple feet deep of snow so i want to be able to cut through it. Thanks!

^i don't see why they wouldn't - the wheel should have the same specs as your 1990 4runner's stock wheels (assuming they're the stock ones). since you have both sets on-hand, why not take one of your front wheels off and put the new one on?

BUT - if you're switching from stock steel wheels to stock alloy wheels or vice versa, you'll need to swap lug nuts as well.

Ok so as I posted in another thread I am turning my 4Runner in to a trail rig. I would like to use a set of 33x10.50x15 KM2 mud tires on it (I bought these for a CJ5)if I can come up with an answer if there is a 6 lug 15 inch wheel that will work without grinding the front caliper down. Stock steelies maybe? The best info I can find searcing this thread is maybe brakes from a Taco in place of what I have will give me clearance. Thing is I don't want to lose any braking especially since I will be going up in tire size. Thanx for the help

Does your 4Runner have 15" stock alloys on it now? If not, no you can't use 15" rims cause your calipers are for 16" rims and will hit more than grinding will fix.

Sell them; Or trade them. You cannot go down in brake size and not lose.

Equipment list on site is a good place to start.

SS 7.2 lift. Can i fit 285/75R16 tires?

I have the Sonoran Steel System 7.2 on my 2002 4Runner -
http://frohbego.blogspot.com/

I currently have on the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO Tires 265/75R16.

My question is can i go up to the next size BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM 285/75R16 ?

WIll they fit? Does anyone run the 285/75R16 without re-gearing?

I have a chance to get a set super cheap from a friend so its pretty tempting.

Thanks!

You should be able to, check the 95.5-04 forum. Most guys with that lift run 285's.....

re-gearing is what you do when you have no torque to spin the tires.

Up one size is not bad. but I went from 225 75r15 to 33x12.5r15 and that requires 4:88 or better. Too big and you lose articulation, so pick something in the middle.

The 285/75R16's should fit just fine. These are what most guys run with a 3" lift.

I ran a 3" Revtek suspension lift for a while and I was able to fit 33X12.5R15 MT/R's with some trimming. Recently I installed a 1.5" body lift to give them a little extra clearance off road but they still fit without the body lift. The 285/75R16's are not quite as tall or as wide so you should be just fine.

I am running my 33X12.5's with stock 4.10 gears. When driving around town there really isn't a noticeable difference, but they do make a difference on the highway. I don't even use my cruise control anymore because with the stock gears, the truck can't maintain high speeds so it is constantly shifting up and down to try to keep the truck at speed and it gets really annoying, not to mention the fact that it kills your gas mileage. It probably won't be as bad with the 285's but still something to think about if you do a lot of highway driving...

I am planning on regearing to either 4.56's or 4.88's and getting lockers eventually, but I just don't have the $$ right now and there are other mods at the top of the list that I think are more important.

I feel your pain. Been looking up-size to a 33 myself and have found these:
http://www.tiresdirect.net/TOYO_Open..._P5025C176.cfm

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
to be about the only options out there with which to keep to a 33x10.5r15. Was hoping to be able to pick up 5 tires for less than $1k but it looks like ill just be saving xtra cash up a while longer than i wanted to.
