If you're set on the trxus line, I think the MT's look better... I don't know what it is about that tread on the STS's, I've just never liked the way it looks in person.

I'm getting some IROK radials with my return. Looks like the tire manufacturers are going to be busy.

edit. Oh and btw, the prices look a little better at NTWonline... But of course I don't see the size you're looking for there.

If that link doesn't work, www.ntwonline.com and navigate to tires.

Yuck, TrXuS STS's are ugly bastards. Get Swampers or TrXuS M/T's.

I see that you have a 22re I passed on the TrXus MTs because the tires are very heavy for their size near 70lbs ea for a 33x12.50 & I have a 3.0. most 35x12.50s MTs are in the 60lbs range. Just something to think about.

i have to agree, i've never liked how those tires look on anything. Look like they belong on poser lifted expeditions and crap. Ya know with some really COOL spinners

I guess it all depends on what you are going to be using your rig for. If you are going to stay on sand and the road, then the STS's should be OK. If you are going to get into rocks, snow, mud or anything else then the MT's are the only way to go. I had them on my 93 and I loved them. When I build my rig up, or get another one, then those are the tires I'm going to run with no questions.

well after reading this post and searching on the forum, it seems like most people dont like the trxus tires for various reasions. so then what do you recommend?here is my situtaion. i live in the mojave desert. i see very little rain/snow. i have a 2wd that i am putting a small lift on like 2-2.5'' and a little bigger tire. i would like to put a locker or somethig in the rear just for better traction but thats later on down the road still.

The Mickey Thompson Radial MTZ's are what I would get if I had a BIG tax return coming my way.
