interco trxus sts all terrains

anyone tried the interco trxus sts all terrains...since i dont really mud my truck that much anymore im looking for something that will wear better on the street but that i can still take down to the river and stuff and not have to worry about getting stuck in the sand or even light mud...the tread pattern looks sort of odd but if it works then im all for it...and the price is great on them right now too..like 140 each on summitracing.com...any input would be greatly appreciated..thanks,

I like my coopers, ive hear the new STTs or SSTs are just like the MTR and the same wear for cheaper, i have the older style and im deff sure that i will get them again but the newer ones, either those or the BFG a/ts, they are great tires. Sorry ive never heard anything about your specified tires, but these two are what ive had great experience with.

Good luck

I have TrXus MT's, they've been good thus far. Loud, heavy and hard to balance, but every review I read before I got them said they're great in snow, mud, sand, rain, and dry conditions on street or offroad. I'm sure the AT's are similar.

I too have the TrXuS M/T's. They are a good overall tire, but heavy and hard to balance... Those are my "hard-core" off road tires, and then I have a set of BFG A/T's for my daily driving/light off road tires.

As far as the TrXuS A/T, I don't know much about them, but I do know that the BFG A/T is probably the best all-around performance A/T tire you can buy.

EDIT: I got a set of 31x10.50 BFG A/T's for $607 from Discount Tire, with certificates and 45,000 mile warranties on them. I doubt the TrXuS has a mileage warrantee, something to consider pretty heavily. I think 33x12.50's are something like $140 a piece, but you should look at www.tires.com.

EDIT AGAIN: Tires.com says a 33x12.50 BFG AT is 142 a piece, but you'll probably end up closer to 160 a piece with certificates and warranties. Still, the Discount Tire certificates are WAY worth it IMO... You won't get free replacement or lifetime balancing with Summit... It also says there is no mileage warrantee available, but I know you can get at least a 40,000 mile warrantee, and maybe 45 if you're persuasive like me
