New Tires
Well I'm in the market for some new tires. I've had my eyes on the Interco Swamper SSR or the Interco Trxus MT.
The SSR's are a little more expensive than the Trxus, so at this point I'm stuck on what I want to do.

I am looking at the Yokohama Geolandar A/T Plus I have read some really good things about this tire and then some that say they do not get any miles out of them.
Anyone have experience with this tire?

Thoughts on going to a thinner tire?
3rd geners with the V6 roll with 265/70-16s. Just wondering if anybody has any thoughts on going to a 245 tire. You lose 2cm of tread width. Would handling will be impaired dramatically? Any thoughts?

Have you actually seen the TrXus in person? I was really contemplating them myself, but when I finally saw them I was surprised at how tight the tread pattern is, closer to an A/T than a mud tire.
I have not ruled out the SSRs, but am about 99% sure I am going to get the PJ Dirt Grips when I finally upgrade later this year (hopefully).
I have not been too impressed the mud clearing ability of the MT/Rs, but I have not seen anybody get stuck with them yet either.

what I like is...
the BFG M/T's or even the ProComp M/Ts. the only thing that get my a-hairs up about ProComp tires is the apparent lack of effort for them to produce a 285/75r16 size! I think if I got 3.75 backspacing on some new wheels they would fit but then I would get a bad case of the rubs and have to trim some fenderwell or even worse. obviously I voted "other."

Nope, hehe. I think the "soze" version from the Usual Suspects is spelled differently. I think spelt his name Kayser. Mine is a spelling from I think old Norse which (like in German) means 'king." don't quote me on that. It was one of my dogs names, a big huge tough 7 pound rat terrier. haha.
I meant to say 305/75r16's were the ones that would rub not the 285's. those are the ones I am looking at (since I can buy 3 and get 1 free, hehe, what a cheap-a$$!) Then if they dint fit I'd sell em and get some 285 bfg m/t's.

hey data...
What size are you looking at? I'm just wondering because I wouldn't mind seeing some pics after intallation. that-a-way I can get an idear of what mine would look like, only mine's black.

In the Dueler & Trxus I'm looking at 285/75/16's
SSR's I'm looking at 32x11.50.16's. Just becuase in the 285 the ssr's OD is 33.9 compaired to the others. SSR is basically a 34" tall tire. I've also heard the SSR's were a pain to balance. That's kinda why I don't want any ssr's, but I bet they would kick ass in mud
