Got the engine timed to 27 BTDC. EGT's are down a little bit, Water temp is up to 189 from 180. I can FINALLY cruise above 3000 rpm. I'm going to still look into the intercooler, though. My egt's are still unacceptable. Hoping for a smidge more power. The advancement didn't give me a huge power increase, but it's definitely noticeable.

Also, my Marlin tranny is making noises already. I haven't even used 5th gear for fear of it blowing up. I hope to God this thing never blows up.

Actually, it was PowerstrokeJoe that spent 40 minutes on the phone with me troubleshooting and lent me his drip tube timer.

Thanks again Joe!

Joe and I are planning on dynoing our trucks sometime soon to see how they compare. His felt way faster to me.

With solid motor mounts and transfer case mount it shouldn't vibrate. I'm in the same boat, though, when it comes to having an increase in time to return to idle once you adjust the idle up. My idle was at 500, and it would rocket back down to 500 when I let off the throttle. I set it to 750-800 and it took forEVER to come back down. Now it's at 600-650 and it's bearable. I'm sure Roy at peachparts knows. I just haven't had time this week to ask anyone. Let us know if you figure it out!

I've been bidding on them on ebay this past week. Trying to get one for around $25 to experiment with. Do you know by any chance if you can cap the inlet holes and make a new inlet on the same side as the outlet? Without being able to do that, I highly doubt I'll have the height clearance to fit one of them.

hey pyro i read that you just advanced your pump timing to 27 deg ? does it run any better power wise and how is the injector nailing louder or quieter ? smooth engine out at all or does it run rougher . oh i figured out how to fix the idle problem i adjusted my idle all the way down so it drops fast then i adjusted my throttle cable to my desired idle works great just dont have the emergency shut off anymore but that why i have a key for lol hopefully

Night and day difference for the better! Better mileage and lots more power. Lower EGT's. Definitely worth doing.

I don't know what he spends his time doing, but he definitely needs to improve his communication skill. If you stay persistent, he will answer or call back eventually and get you taken care of.

There is a list of everything you will need near the end of my thread. The only vacuum crap you need is the brakes and shut off.

It really depends on what you want to use. I used the stock gauges for a while, but that was a waste of time and effort. The stock gauges are not accurate enough and not worth using. I also ditched the yota alternator for a GM CS130 105 amp. Keep your starter and flywheel.
