Now that I think further about it, I think Aztoyman's build thread is over on ih8mud. Sorry, but glad you found a semi local guy.

Dude that looks killer, Thank you for posting the pics and info. Def has me anxious to see how this would look on mine. The fact that you have same frame height as me with 37's vs my 35's is an added plus.

2jz to r150f in FJ50

Hi everybody, I read through most of this and I think I found my answer, but I want to see if anyone could verify this for me. I'm helping a buddy with his FJ50, he's sourced a 2jz and a r150f from a t-100. Most of the information I've been reading uses the r154 trans since it's much more simpler. But he already has one of those aftermarket bellhousing you see online. My question is if all we need is a 1jz flywheel and clutch parts from the r150f for this to work, or can the 1jz clutch, pressure plate be converted to function as a push type. It's an NA engine but I think we still should get a more powerful clutch. I attached the link to the bellhousing here, any help would be appreciated. Oh and I contacted the company already. They said they don't know what settup will fit, they just make the part. They did tell me to reference an sc300, but i think those have a different spline count? Kinda odd I think. https://www.akinamotorsportz.com/aki...1-bell-housing

What year is his t100? I'm pretty sure they came with 3 0 and 3.4 v6.
If he had a 3.4 T100 he could of just bought factory R154 bellhousing and used factory parts for clutch.
seems like the bellhousing he has is the same one my friend Tim had made years ago before support grew to what is today for Jz swaps. First post on his thread he states what he ised for the entire clutch assembly.

He wasn't able to find what year truck the trans came out of when I asked him, but I believe it's the short shaft type. I'll check it out, thanks.
