Hey I am looking to finally straight axle swap my 93 extra cab pick up. I wheel a lot and ifs never really held me up THAT bad lol but I wanna run air lockers and bigger Tires. I have the allpro rear lift on my truck and I am really empressed with allpro. Do you guys recommend allpro SAS kit? Or trail gear? Also anyone selling a front axle? Can't seem to find one.

 

I would suggest putting your location about buying a front axle myself. Might be one in your area. I would imagine shipping being expensive on one. I dont have any suggestions on which brand to use.

 

I know a seller in Chicago posted in the classifieds selling a axle and a bunch of trail gear extras for 350. Username was twowheelwarehouse

 

All pro is quality. Cant go wrong there. What is your budget? There are a few companies that make axle housings if you cant find one.

Shipping would be expensive.

Then till you get done rebuilding one might be cheaper to go with a new after market one.

 

I am in California Bay Area. And allpro is in so cal, I know that. I want a toyota axle and looking to spend probably around 2g$ with the sas kit and new seals and stuff for the axle.

 

Your budget might be cutting it close. The allpro kits is gonna lift the front quite a bit so rear will need to match. That means bigger tires which means lower dif gears. If you wheel your gonna want lockers. Bigger tires and lockers means you'll want upgrades birfields at a minimum depending on tire size. Plus long slip DS.

Got a lot to plan out. Check out marlin's forum loads of guy there from cali so might be able to find stuff local.

Take your time and build it right.

 

It's my daily driver, plus I have a harley, but I figured I would run stock gears and just get the axle under it and make it drivable, than slowly piece everything together over time. But I forgot about marlin crawler! Haha thanks for the reminder about them. In the Long run I want to go with ARB front and rear with 5.29 maybe dual cases not sure yet about that.

 

Anyone know where I can find threads on some "on board air" system. I need to air up tires, I have a A/C compressor thought about going that route. But I like the idea of have my A/C
