I will be watching for the next one.
I'll try to take as many great photos of all the fun you will be missing out on so you can see just how wrong your choice was.

Will I mess up the radio if I hook up the antenna but don't tune it fully out of the gate with the swr meeter?

I'm rolling very stock and dark_fairytales might get his brother rolling stock so I am sure you could make it.
yep don't worry about being stock, if John says there are plenty of bypasses there should be no big deal. I really hope to get my bro to go the more stockies we have the better and i am still talking to my bro. to go but he is still not sure. He has read the thread and he dose have some interest but he is vary new to yotas off road and his runner is vary clean, so cross your fingers. Come to think of it i don't even know his username, if i did you could pm him to please come as we would like his support.

We got a whole press crew covering the event look at that. You def. will be regretting your decision with all this coverage. You might not even want to watch.

You can meetup with me in Fremont on Friday then we can meet dark fairytale and get a little convoy going. Camp the night. Wheel then head home Sunday.

We where all beginners at one point, i still feel as i am one myself.
But the more you go the better you become.

Yes i was told the swr meter is best, its needed to be tuned properly.
I had mine tuned once and then thats it, and its on a magnet on the roof that has been knocked over soo many times its not even funny. I haven't bothered to do it again.

John where is this trip supposed to be?
hey mike this trip is gonna be up hogsback through the pelegren jeep trail which is where we'll be camping. and then screw around in the area sunday morning and out the ponderossa rd to hwy 36. there is an alternate trail, i'd like to take, but it would take entire day sunday and i know some of u have a long drive home

you gonna make it this weekend mike, u can get a first hand look. it is not hard core all the way but some spots will challenge u. the pelgren has some technical stuff but like i've said, there is a go around fore the semi stock guys. i would like to take the lower slab run on the 11th. i have heard some nightmare stories lately for stock rigs so we might have some challenge there. if you are a member of trails.com u can see these out of red bluff

Just a note for the stock yota's, it will be a good idea to remove your anti swaybar. With my experience off road it helps and the ride is much nicer on road. I noticed no difference in body roll in the turns, it took a body lift to change that at all and its not even close to scary.

How long do you think it would take? 15-20 minutes? Think I could do it before we head out then mount it back on at the end of the day?
