well i tested my old cb i wanted to install yesterday. it didn't key up so i took apart the mike and couldn't find anything. called down to chico and found a guy to fix it. more than likely be cb-less this weekend but hope to have it buy the may trip. it's to good to be tossed. also found the base for my lil will, but wish i could find my 1000.

Well i know this is off topic here but I wanted to show off a little. here is my new additions to the back of the runner. still got room for the ice chest to (no it is not camo....Yet!). anyways i put all my recovery gear in the box on the left and still have room for stuff like a stove, clothes and tent. maybe even a sleeping bag but not sure if it will go in yet. not what i originally wanted for the back but it will do.

I belive thats the first camo sub enclosure I've seen.

You need to go post in the "Does anyone have a sound system in their 4runner" thread.

I have a bit of a system in my regular cab. I think it turned out pretty good considerig the space I had to work with. I still need to do a few thing but pretty much done. You'll have to check it out.

the camo is interesting, Im still trying to figure how im going to pack my stuff secure. My problem is trying to fit two passengers in the back with as much comfort as possable, but I am lucky I have a long bed.

I would be interested in what you set up in your regular cab, there just is not much space to work with at all. Ive tried a few things over the years and at the moment my only tunes i have are the four black meats singing to the tarmac.

hey toylocost i was thinking of a different thread. the op of that was basically hooking up a half a$% system. i tryed to help the guy but......

hey cris i know the feeling of a system in a standard cab. i had a nissan with a single 12 ported. took the whole rear area. i'll definatly check out ur system. mine is by no means complete but it will work for now. u want a challenge- fit 2 - 10's in a lambo.... not fun

well today i went part way up. the road is pretty rough from years of abuse but nothing impassable for the stock boys. i stopped where the everyone tells me it gets technical because i was by myself and there is limited turn around room. here is some images from about the first 2 hrs of the trip. may not have been that long cause it only took about an hr to get out lol.
here is the beginning. easy rough...

gradually gets rougher

dude, that's like a 2wd road. unless it gets like 20x worse, i could take our corolla through that w/o any worry. any good hill climbs or rock gardens?
oh, now you've got more pics. doesn't look difficult at all. should be a good day. nice scenery. i'm sure any high clearance vehicle should be able to make it through.
