Nor Cal Toyota owners
Hey I just wanted to hear from all of you norcal toyota owners that are here.
I am kinda interested in puting together a few runs this year if some others are interested. One I would like to do is across the western divide road from Hwy 36 to Covelo or even maybe beyond. and maybe a high lakes run in the spring. I would like to get a decent sized group for this and really make them nice, safe, fun trips.
Any takers? I know some guys that do a trip called the Dog Knot. It is supposed to be a fun run but they are more interested in V-8 powered trucks. maybe be able to get something from them as to thier route

I'm near Sacapatatoes. I'd love to go on a trip but I need to get my truck fixed and a little more experience in offroad driving before I go make a fool of myself. And you know I need tires and... and... and... blah blah blah. lol

It's weird thinking of Sacramento as northern California when i live in California but I'm a 4 hour drive farther north. I live in Mt. Shasta so this would be awesome. I never get to go wheeling cuz there's hardly anyone in town that actually uses their rigs and i don't go alone. when you thinking about doing this. I'm definitely interested.

well I live near Chico so it's a hop skip and a jump. The run between 36 and covelo is doable in a day but i am sure everyone would want to have time to play and have a good time to. So it sounds like i have a group of willing participants.
Toylocost- no worries this would be a go at your own pace run. the main road is fairly decent and goes clear through. The fun parts are little side roads where there are alot of climbing and stuff to clear. I have only been through a portion of this road but the parts i was on were alot of fun. I will come up with a camping spot in the yollo bollies. a good time would probably be early late spring or summer to keep the dust down. I am almost thinking the last weekend of may so that gives everyone a good time to prep and be ready.
Make that a hard day!!!

I would be very interested in something like this because I am a beginner and am looking for some people to learn the ropes with I am about an hour south of Sacramento.

LOL as far as I am concerned anyone that is interested is more than welcome - as long as they drive a Toyota!!! The yearly video actually got me to thinking about this. I got a big kick out of all the Toyotas lined up in the most recent video. As a Semi Pro Photographer, outdoor fanatic and wheeling enthusiast I thought that all these states have Toy clubs or the sort. Why not northern cal? I am happy to have such a HUGE response to this. One nice run that everyone can look forward to and plan on doing (maybe every year). some clubs go over board but it is alot of fun, one wheeling trip actually hires a caterer for Saturday nights camp spot and they all have a good time> now i am not saying i wanna go that direction but it gives everyone an idea of what others do. Anyone willing to help me develop this run and get everything and everyone on board?
