you can hunt the wilderness area you just can't drive into it. there is salt springs state game refuge but plenty of hunters hunt between the refuge and the wilderness. the hunting zone is called D5 and starts the Fourth saturday of sept and goes for 37 consecutive days. those of you that recall the hogsback trip, we boardered not only a game refuge but also the wilderness area and that area attracks about 1000 people a year the last weekend of oct for 9 consecutive days.

I'll catch up to you guys in a few years after I gather funds to build my rig for trail use.. unless you are ok with little trails that an ifs 93 pickup with 4" lift and 33's could handle.

20 minutes north of Santa Rosa.
(hour north of San Fransico)

Humboldt Co. here.
I would love to make a trip out to Redding or some where in Oregon.
Those are the two ideal locations for me I feel. Redding is 3-4 hours away and I think a good spot in Coos Bay? Which is about the same in time. Keep things posted!

I have a 2wd so anything with "less climbing" hahaha.

How capable does your rig need to be to wheel at Cow? before I do anything i need new tires and gears.... 33's and 4.10's in the mud is a joke.
