well im a real noob to wheeling and would like to try but i dont know how difficult the trail is.
my truck specs. are as follows:
35 with 5.29
3" bodylift
front lock-rite
rear arb but im working on the air still
stock ifs suspension
stock t-case gears
and no armor of any kind

with the specs listed and being a noob would if be a good trip for me with out bashing my truck or should i wait to get some bumps and sliders

also did you make your short trip on the 28th if you did we all like pics.

ya ive been reading and working on it for years. i still need to install my bj spacers and my duel t-case is sitting on the floor all clean but i still need the cash for a welder for drive shaft mods and drive train lift, but rent is what counts now sense my room-mate is loosing hours at work Im the lucky one that gets to suck up the dent in cash flow. I really am interested in a wheeling trip as I have been dreaming about it for like seven years

hey Dark, your more than welcome to come. 90 percent of the trail is easy to moderatewith a cpl of difficult spots that can easily be avoided. I didn't make it up the 28th because i didn't wanna go alone. I am going to try again this week or next shouldn't be to bad. the one thing that makes this trail moderate is that there are some ascents and descents that are on loose rock. it will test your line making decisions as well as your traction. the difficult areas are fairly easy to avoid and getting around them should be no problem.

Hey john when would be the earliest you would want to go?

Im going to try to wrap up the last few things on my motor swap and then hopefully it will be good.

Maybe the weekend of the 10th we can get a small run in somewhere.

Down to go

I am in the Bay Area, Fremont. I am down to go also. I have a stock 1996 Tacoma SX 4x4. I have some BFGoodrich All Terrain KO's. I only have experience running through big mud puddles when it rains. If we are doing Memorial Day Weekend I'd probably head up Friday and camp then Wheel Saturday then camp and head home sunday. So if anyone is in the bay area and wants to meetup some place and head up friday. Maybe we can pickup more on the way up. Any places to camp on friday night?
