Yeah, I'd still love to see them. What would be the problem with the pinch weld?

There is a guy thats running his truck w/o the ltd flares... its silver... hmmm he posted a ton of pics... I'll try to find the thread.

Glad to hear you guys are still alive and kicking! haha... Sounds like a cool job you found, I wouldn't mind doing that!

Back ot...

I'm not sure if we are going to leave friday morning or thursday night. I get out of class at 5:30 so it would be a late trip but still do-able. I think we will end up with the same schedule as Brett. Then have lunch in asheville on the way home with the fam. I have to figure out what we are going to do about a tent... Has anyone tried getting a spot recently? Are there still spaces? I think we could use a whole one for the SCAD group...

Those are the only yotas right now... there are a couple around town that I need to ask, but there is only one that would really make it... the rest are pretty stock. I'm working on bringing some chickas though...

There's one 2nd gen around town here that has all custom bumpers front and rear and he's done an SAS on 35 X-Terrains, I need to find him in a parking lot sometime but all I ever see is him on the raod. Bring some girls, that would be a welcome sight , most of the girls I know are city chicks through and through and prefer to stay with the club scene, but we'll see if I can work something myself.

I can go ahead and tell ya, you probably want to leave them at the clubs, because when we're out there all day, they'll probably start some serious whining, and could possibly ruin your day.

Hey ASU,
You want to share a spot? It would cut down the price that much more... I'll have 3 to split it with...

Don't worry... I'm not going to bring whiny girls... If they do, I'll put them in their place! haha...

I have lots of stuff for sale that I'll bring if it doesn't sell before then and if I have room to bring it. This stuff includes a front diff, rear diff, 4.30 gears, mudflaps, many tow hooks, cargo cover, and rear springs.

Have you sold any of it yet. If I didn't have a rear bumper, I'd buy yours for sure. That is a great looking bumper! I may have some other stuff to sell or swap too. This is going to be a great trip!

Hey, why don't we start a thread of all the stuff we could bring to sell or swap at this trip? Let's make sure there's pictures, and a good amount of details, so instead of bringing it all, we can know if it's sold or not before we get there. Cool with everyone?

I see you edited your previous post and deleted the bumper thread. Is it sold or what?

I deleted it. Did a test pull today and I have changed my mind for the time being. If I do decide to sell it, I have someone with first refusal.

Brett, I doubt you'll have any trouble with it, especially if you add some extra bracing to it. It's probably a lot stronger than you think.

Yeah, I think it's the frame flexing now. I can now see the frame flex that Steve is always talking about, he's really right about that.

Why don't you add some frame bracing from the rear of the bumper up to and just past the main crossmember to strengthen it up.

Chris

P.S. Have you ever got under your truck on your back and pushed up on your bumper and seen how much it flexes. It's crazy!
