Damn Ernie! That thing will definitely be slickrock material. You going to try it with us? I wish I could say I'll have my new tires by then, but probably not. I've got too many projects to do, but they will help, especially the undercarriage stuff. I can't wait to tackle the rock garden at Crawfords to see the difference it makes.

Chris

P.S. Brett, I hope we can get multiple angles of us coming up slickrock. That would be cool!

P.S.S. Brian, get some seat time before now and then so you can pull us up there if we have trouble!!

P.S.S.S. Andy, that really sucks man! Are you locked up front on that thing? If so what gears did you have in it?

4.10's and rear ARB only. that's why i'm torn on keeping it or get an FZJ.

keeping it means new front bumper, at some point a new rear bumper, front locker, gears, etc...

Sorry to hear about the wreck Andy - I told you stay out of west knoxville !

Chris - you get the outlets wired ? everything OK ?
I got some spare time this afternoon if you need the help, it raining again anyway Otherwisw I'll just chill

I am planning on the Thursday thing at Crawford's as well - I am already off Friday and going up Thursday night sounds good - I need the break.

I am planning on sliders, maybe some new 33"s possibly changing my exhaust system to eliminate the cross-over pipe on the engine. I am looking for a cross-over pipe from a 3.0 engine if anybody knows of one. I need to experiment a little with this idea - poor boy header with write-up.
I have my eye on an e-locker to adapt to my rear but with the modifications it may not be done by Tellico. we shall see !

Good Morning - dudes !

Hey Doc, I just got back from buying a few more things that I needed to finish the project. Last night as soon as it got dark, my freakin' floor lamp died, so we called it a night. Today I plan to finish everything up. You're more than welcome to come by. I welcome the help, and greatly appreciate it yesterday too. It got done a lot quicker with you here, thanks again. I'll be outside the rest of the day if you want to stop back by.

Chris

i'm now torn b/w getting another sahara bar and keeping the runner or following my gut and taking it OEM and selling it for a fzj and a commuter.

hmmmmm, and i still have 3 months until we wheel..
I told you Val would let you buy a FZJ80 if you just asked nice...you didn't have to crash the 4Runner!

Details....and better yet....pics!

We've got like (3) months until the ride and I have a TON of stuff to do...or to do right...

I sent Crawford an email Friday and reserved us a spot.

Will your CV axles fit my 1997 4runner? If so, I'll take them!

NOpe they won't work Chris - but they will fit mine

I'll take the axle or axles Ernie.

I found a set of Toyota steel wheels with 38.5" tires - damn what a
lift that would be - I'd have to cut the fenders off to clear them.
