I'll get some more pics at lunch, but here's a few on this thread on page 2...

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/bye-bye-sahara-bar-youve-been-good-me-51721/

i have an M8000 in there now. by intergrated, i assume you mean like a xi model? it might work if you cut out the top to accomodate the solenoid box. i'll be back in town the weekend of the 25-27 to pick up the new sahara and put it on and take this one off. once it comes off, it will stay in b'ham until we sell our house there.

since those pics, i've straightened it up considerably. it's now almost perfectly level and just needs a couple areas massaged to look like new. i have all the rubber pieces for it. some of them popped the bolts out of the rubber, so they will have to be fixed. i just don't have time to mess with it to fix it, so i bought a new one w/ the insurance money. i figured somebody w/ the time would be able to get this one back to normal and have a sweet bumer for dirt cheap.

hey, aren't you sunfire red as well? if so, i can put another coat of paint on it for you after it's fixed up if you want...

I might be interested in the MTRs, I'll let you know! Could you take some pics, while your taking pics of the bumper?

Josh will have his rig this time! He was kicking himself last time, but it probably was a good thing since he didn't have sliders or anything yet.

yup, mine is sunfire red also,,,if i can come up with a way to raise it to match my 3" body lift it might be worth the effort. i had about decided on just building a new front and rear bumper, but this might be cheaper/easier,and look cool at the same time!! does the tundra front springs fit the factory taco struts? i think i read somewhere that you were in heated debate with others concerning this. i have a friend with a heavy winch mount and hydraulic winch, and even with cornfed spacers he only got 1 1/2" of lift!! anyway,i was thinking either a heavier spring or a set of your spacers for the top of the struts. also do you think these lights will fit??
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...44853193sQbZmV
and if you keep the driving lights, where would i go to get replacements?? so many questions!!! thanks dude!! later

you could always get some custom bracket made to raise the bumper. I doubt the ARB crush brackets can easily be replicated, but nonetheless it should work

it looks like those light would work. my ipf 900's (big driving lights) are like 8" diameter or something. in the bumper, it has a pair of ipf 924's that are fog lights. they are like $250 a set and are staying w/ me... i have the black plastic filler piece to fill the holes, so that's no big deal until you could get some that would work and fab up mounts or find some 924's for a reasonable price. the brackets could be cut and rewelded for the 3" BL, but the frame rails would probally be showing under the bumper. w/ a 1" BL, they are right at the bottom edge now.

if he's got the extra weight, then the tundra coils might be the way to go if he's only got 1.5" from OME's and cornfeds. they're softer than the OME's, but won't sag as bad. He could also go w/ regular NON-TRD tundra coils so they wouldn't be progressive and they'd be slightly stiffer on the road. that's a tough call on what to do since he's got so much weight on such a light vehicle.

[edit]

ernie: here's some more pics of the bumper after i've attempted aligning it. it will need some work on the ends and a little pounding on the brackets...

austin: you can see the two front tires in the pics. i'll take pics of each one after they're replaced, but they are all the same tread height and condition as the two in the pics.

Just couldn't let this post get any farther down the list, so here's my excuse. My mods continue, although much cheaper this time, I'll be installing a drop panhard bar tomorrow. On a non-mod note, after selling my popup camper, I bought a new one today and it's loaded out! I'll post pics tomorrow.

Funny thing is, I got them to toss one in at no extra charge. Otherwise I would have bought yours. You need to put your remaining stuff in:

Well, looks like I'll be taking a 2nd job so the wife can stay at home w/ the kids, so the 85 project will get put on hold for a while, or just not as much time to work on it, but either way I seriously doubt I'll have it where I want it for SE4RJ2, but I'll be there and ride along w/ someone else. I'll need a break from 80+ hour weeks by then I'm sure

Sorry to hear that Brian, hope everything works out for you in the long run. Just take your time with the 85, not that you have a problem with that already but it just seemed like the right hint to say.

That thing is sweet! Is that one of the bigger ones available, because I've never seen one with a pop out side too?

Yeah, about the biggest popup you can buy. It has a 14' box, about 19' overall and I think 26' when folded out.
