How big is your stik?

Of those choices, 3'... preferablly a 4', and you want it as hi as possible.
I also wouldnt go with dual antennas, you will not get as good of performance. Dual antennas need to be a certain number of feet apart, its wide.. .thats why big rigs mount them on their mirrors, and the advantage to a dual setup is that it creates a linear radio wave, perfect for interstates... not for the trail, you will loose side transmission range. Stick with a single... go 4' for best results, and on the fender will get you an extra few inches to foot, based on your bumper... and get a firestick II, they are more flexible... personally i like the K40 superflex... not as stiff as a firestick... therfore less prone to breakage...

a taller antenna will give you more 'gain'. 5/8 wave is a great performer, but more than 3' at CB frequencies. Its true that using two antennae will give you a pattern, if they are on each side, you'll get a peanut extending forward and backward. So, 10-4 on the single stick, for that omnidirectional pattern.
