what welder is recommended for SAS

The project of going and doing the SAS mod. I plan on doing other chassis fab mods, but would like some opinions. Here is what welders I currently own...
Lincoln A/C 225 arc welder
Lincoln weldpac (flux-core junk)
Campell Hausefield 110 MIG with .035
Miller Syncrowave 250 DX

I would rather tig the whole thing but that could get old. Any suggestions? Thanks

How many amps is the Weldpack ?
If it's at least a 180A and its 220 I think it should get the job done.

LOL the Syncrowave would work, but I'm not sure you want to take the time to TIG the whole thing.

tig would be awesome, it would take so much more time, but could be so beautiful and clean. i would suggest miller dynasty 200 dx, but if you dont want to buy another welder, the syncrowave would work well. would not use the flux core unless you are outside, and the 110 welder would take as much time as it would to tig.

Red face

Use the Syncrowave and break out the stinger use 7018 1/8 or 3/32 whatever you like better.

Set somewhere in the area of 100amps and adjust to your likes .

If you are going to Tig I would hope you have a thumb control.

Good luck

This is my opinion of course and is based on doing only 4 Toy SAS jobs but here goes...I used a small 110 MIG with gas and 023/030 wire for the first two with good results but when using a little 110 mig you have to slow the wire feed just a tad and go slowwwww on the puddle speed.
The last two sas were with my Miller 185 MIG with gas of course...that's more welder than 95% of wheelers need including me. I really like the smaller Hobart 175 or the Miller 180 portable version (weighs only about 45 pounds).
I would only do stick if I was in desperate need of a weld and I was on the trail with 2 batteries and some 6011 or 6013. ZUK
