So i understand there is only a computer screen connecting us and you cant see the truck for yourself, but i could use some help. Just hooked up the new motor and she turns on, cranks over and starts up nicely. But she only stays on for 5-10seconds and dies. Any advice?? Played with timing but no luck. Thanks.

93 toyota pickup with 92 22re EFI. sorry jus made this profile cuz i got a little fed up with my truck this morning. She's been down for 4 months and ive spent over a grand in the past 3 days alone in parts. Im actually assuming its a fuel problem, bad injectors or something. But thanks for the pointer, ill do it right away.

Check Fuel system. Also check fuel pump and electrical.

Check the Air Flow Meter:

and for a quick check, try the fuel pump test jumper:

Clean the surface between your ig coil and the fender. Changed fuel pump relay, fuel pump, fuel filter before I discovered it was a bad ground on the coil.

just a suggestion.

thanks alot fellas. This mornin we actually got it going. It was a real dumb oversight. In a rush to see if the engine would run we neglected to attach the air intake. I guess she was pullin in too much air or something. We hooked up the intake hose from the air box and she started and held jus fine. Thanks again. Hopefully I can return the suggestions for some of yall someday.
