New Here - Exhaust ?

Hello all!

My truck is a '94 Toyota 4x4 2.4L Stock! I need a new exhaust pipe (the one that connects to the exhaust manifold and goes down to the converter). What is a good/cheap stock replacement one to get. The cheapest I could find is $89.

Thanks!

I wouldn't skimp out too much. I'd say get the $89 one. What happened that you need it? I had to replace mine last year because it developed a crack in the bend part...which in time grew..and finally it split in two. I think it had something to do with the cold here and the hot exhaust and rust. I got mine from CarQuest for $110, but its a pretty nice one. And they're usually called down pipes.

Oh yeah! Welcome to YotaTech

The reason is it seperated at the seam (about 4"-5" from the the manifold connection). I would just get out the welder and run a bead on it but, I only have a Flux Core welder, and it probably won't do very well on thin exhaust pipe.

if you used gas and you were a good welder and you didnt have the heat very hot you could weld it or TIG weld it

You could get a shop to weld it. It would probably be cheaper than buying a new one.
