Why is this loop on my truck?

Why is this loop on my truck?

I understand the past owner did not complete the build and there should be a winch in there. Why the loop?[IMG][/IMG]

stinger bar is what it is called, protect your hood, radiator.

the front loop is called a "stinger". it helps to stop the truck from tipping/rolling over the nose if you are coming down a steep hill or incline.

looks cool as well!

and if you had a full exo that went over the roof and somehow rolled your truck, you'd be resting on that loop and on the exo thus not damaging your body. it's more practical just as an anti-tree device. mine's not as big but i've hit many trees with it instead of my hood
