the 3.0's can bearly hold together on their own.
I would say, don't do it,
but with enough fab work you can turbo anything. Not sure if there is any low compression pistons for the 3.0 though.

Crossover is really tight to the head back in that corner.
Supposedly, the "V" in 3VZ-E means it was built for forced induction ... I DO know the bottom end on these motors is pretty stout.
Big problem is where do you put the turbo.... No room in the engine bay, and it gets hot enough in there already ...

that would certainly cool the engine down wouldnt it?

i was bord and found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Toyota_engines
so 3vz-e is 3rd generation VZ engine
a little more digging and found toyota had a "V" engien which was a V8 so it appears they made the "Z" to mean 6 cylinders so a VZ is a V6 and there is a 1VZ and 2VZ if it matters

Note that all numbers aren't used in production (at least in truck applications). For example, there is a 20R and 22R, but no 21. The 1VZ and 2VZ never saw production.

Well thanks guys! I got my heads back from the machine shop and he said don't mess with a turbo as well. Guess I'll just leave it alone
I LOve turbos so I can't help myself! I'm also building a explorer with a twin turbo mustang engine
