$540+ bucks???? Wow!

... or I can fill the stock tank 18 times! Couple of jerry cans and some straps are fine by me!

Downey buys their tanks from Northwest Metal Products

good people to deal with, maybe they can give you a better price

nice pieces .. but dont bother contacting them directly .. you'll NEVER hear back from them . I have tried many many times .

unless your buying in LARGE volumes(i assume) you dont have a chance .

A Cherokee tank will fit in the back where the spare tire goes. There's a writeup on Expeditions West website.

Otherwise, you can use any fuel cell.

I bought mine used and needed instructions, sent an email and got a reply back the next day.

Another guy on one of the forums bought one used and contacted them about the hoses and fittings and supposedly got an install kit sent out for free.

I think ratherdiesel [or another member] was doing a mercedes diesel powered expedition rig build up if I recall he used the tank out of a 70's Chevy K5 Blazer that was supposed to fit exactly between the frame where the spare would go.

just checked the Downey and nwsp sites the downey price as listed is @100.00 less
