two more isr pipe mods

Well I did the ISR pipe mod a month or so ago and now i got my two friends to do it (bigben and expiredmomentum on the forums). I "helped" them do it but i like doing things myself so i ended up doing a lot of it The second and third time around is a lot easier and both pipes worked right after install...compared to the three days it took me on my own rig cause i couldnt find the problem.

i got a pic of expiredmomentum's new setup. its from my phone so bear with me haha.

oh and heres one of his foot when he dislocated it on my trampoline this summer...pretty sick if you ask me. (by the way it's his left ankle, he's laying down...we're closer to his head...it was sorta my fault too )

I imagine that the dislocated ankle didn't silence his intake too much when it happened, no pun intended . On topic, that ISR looks great, does it give much better throttle response over stock?

on mine i felt a difference right away. the other two also felt a differece, it doesnt help with the gas mileage but the throttle response has a definitely noticeable difference.

Ummm...yes, I do. How did you guess?

I think it all depends on how you did the mod. In other words the pipe you use..the way it bends..depends on clearance. I used a piece of schedule 80, 45deg angle conduit and it passes almost right over the dipsticks. Like 95runner, I have to reach between the pipe and distibutor, but also all the pretty blue NGK spark wires. It's a mess! And I can't even reach the A/T dipstick easily. I check my fluids a lot before I go places, so it's become a big hassle...and I don't like hassles with something that should just be easy.

yeah i guess maybe the three i made are up a lot higher than yours or something...mine are fairly easy to reach. but good point it all depends on how you did the mod.

i know exactly what you mean..i also used a pre bent piece of exhaust tubing, 45 degrees, mine is easy to get to and get out the real problem is getting the dipstick back in without bending the you know what out of it....

thanks. you sorta get the hang of it after the second time.

you think the pictures nasty, you have no idea what it was like in person...i actually watched it do that. it was so unrealistic i almost started laughing because i was like theres no way that just happened.

ok so its been sever months since i did this mod and my idle rmps is still ALL OVER the place.
I disconnected the negative(black) wire to the battery for an hour or so (b/c i heard that resets everything) and its still wack.
There are no visible cracks or breaks in the seals as far as i can tell.
WTF?!
