Post Your Pics!!!
If you are worried about the GY Duratracs, That is what I have on my 4Runner, and never had a bit of trouble on this trip:
Worked well in the rocks

This picture doesn't do this slope justice, but it was a dirt bank coming out of water. Really no wheel spin to speak of

And then this soup,

I had aired down to 15 psi and I think they performed great. Lugged my over 2 ton rig thru the trails quite nicely.

Looks like flickr generates extraneous BB URL/code. When I replied to your post, I basically used only A SINGLE URL ("http://... .jpg") (not .png) from your original post, and manually put it between , and YT site took it well.
Ruby Tuesday got new shoes...

GY Duratrac because I wanted something between A/T and M/T. Noise level not noticeable and I'm confident, based on many feedback, of it's traction. Just need RT to take me to trailheads and back in all types of weather. (Last time we drove a washboard road, she was fishtailing on road tires.)
Good to know. Thanks!

Edit: mine are also on a 2010 ford F350. The weight difference could have a large factor in my success with these tires. I also have 6 or them versus your 4 lol.
feel free to disagree. I spend over 6 months in winter - still snowing as I type this - and they are not good for COMPACT snow or ICY roads. We run them on our company trucks in the summer for mud, the duratracs, never in the winter. Care to compare winter driving conditions?

Although I run KM2's on both my Yota's and that's my pick.
Gizler00: Thanks, they are Eagle 58 Series Alloys. Great wheel, but definitely need a little elbow grease to get them shined up a few times a year. As for the 5VZFE with the regular cab, it's night and day difference from the 22RE. Quick and fun little truck for sure!
Redeth005: Thanks, Your rig looks good the color it is... but Cherry red would also be a nice change haha.
ChefYota4x4: Thanks, the club is getting bigger all the time by the looks of it!
Teuf, Fritz1, Discombobulated: Thanks for the comments. I know the hood scoop is a little extra than most people like to see, but it's pretty clean plus it serves the purpose for clearing the 5VZFE.

Agree about the weight. Unless rubber is rock hard, it would really be difficult to find rubber tires that would have ideal traction on compact snow. Exactly the reason why many places still require snow chains even on 4WD vehicles with "snow" rated tires when road gets icy. BTW, the Duratrac, like the General Grabber A/T, is studdable. I wonder how much work/time it takes to install and remove studs.
Yeah I'll compare lol..... My snows over with bud. It hasn't snowed here for quit some time now. I see a foot of snow at the most however the state road doesn't do there job in the suburbs here so it does get slick. However the weight factor of the trucks could be a large factor in the traction that each vehicle is getting as well as my climate compared to you. I'm in WV we get snow but nothing like NY or places like that. Most our snow is lake affect snow from Great Lakes and that's once in awhile. So yeah they may be horrible for your conditions but they fit mine just right.

Definitely different tires on different vehicles perform better or worse with weight being a big factor. I love the duratracs on my toyota, I don't do a lot of highway driving in the winter, mostly back and forth to work and the odd 2 hour trip and they work great for that.
As for our weather up here, aside from the odd year, we get 6 months of winter, 1st snow in october and as of today we still have lots of snow on the ground, it's snowing and -20 with windchill. Our snow is a dry snow compared to what you probably get, and from the odd time we get it here, I'd rather have the dry snow than deal with the snow you guys get.

here's some lovely pics, this is last night in front of the house:

That would suck. I do like winter and its probably my second favorite season. However six months of snow would drive me nuts.....
It's 70 degrees here today. Not to hot nor cold I love it

So, pics! Installed the Smittybuilt XRC8 winch today. I'll have a write up on my build thread soon.
Did a little snow wheeling today. Me in my '95 4Runner, 3 Xterras- one with 3" lift, 33" tires and suspension from a Titan, one with no lift just some 285/75R16s, and one totally stock; 2 Jeeps- a stock Rubricon and a '70s CJ Renegade with like 38" tires?; and a Ford Raptor, cant remember if he had a lift or not.
I led them for the second half of the trip because I knew the area. I got stuck in some nasty snow. Took about an hour and a half to pull me out.

The lifted Xterra first came to pull me out, but got stuck himself. We shoveled and pushed, he just got barely got out without using a strap. I made it back about a foot, then we decided we would attach 3 straps together, about 80 feet, and the CJ, with his v8 and 38" tires. He still had trouble, but finally made it 150 feet to harder packed snow.

You can see the Xterra in the back throwing up snow.

Tires were fine, I dont have diff lockers. This was the first time I was breaking my own trail in the snow. Right in front of me was a dirt wall I was trying to make it over, but couldn't. Then I just dug down once I rocked it a few times.
