Yeah the original color was black. We have a little joke with all my friends that black Toyota's are cursed since my buddy had the worst luck with his black toyota I still might go black tho.

Probably the last pics I'll be taking of my truck before I affect my plans to stick in a 2" lift and put the new tires and Cragar D-windows on. Took it to Turkey Bay OHV for a weekend trail drive.

my differential teacher taught me how to improvise lockers, with pliers and vice grips. only works for back tires tho. use the pliers to lock up the spinning wheels' parking brake cable, and then use the vice grips to hold it in place while you drive out not a long term or super effective, but it gets you outta a slippery spot

go with solid colors, easier to manage, doesn't have to be a dark color either, mines a little on the bright side, works the same with any rattle can color. or just tons of stickers

My daughter's 1991. Work in progress. I just recently replaced the carpet and installed a set of 4Runner seats for her. Still need to get seat covers but she's very happy with the new buckets over the old bench seat.

2" lift with OMEmu CS009R 2" lift rear leaf packs and 1.5" bj spacers and 1/2" t-bar adjustment. OMEmu 2"lift nitro shocks riding nicer now up front with 2" up rather than 1" relaxed, hmmmm....

Well, I recently did a resto/mod fest of new rear panels and 3way LED/tailgate-open-activated lighting/Polk DXi 690 built ins/91 Camry driver side rear window motor swap for gate window/fully sound deadened and Frost King Self adhesive foil backed closed cell foam cargo area/front and rear diff breather extensions (rear breather can be seen in 1 of the panel insulation pix)/OEM gate-window Outer weather stripping and replacement (with video and part #'s on build thread)/heater control cable assembly swap (A/C AND HEAT ARE 10X BETTER NOW!, ....plus I can FINALLY operate all the cables with brand new ease! )/ OEM rebuilt 95 4Runner SW13B V6 Calipers, V6 Black Zink Slotted and drilled rotors, 94 4Runner dual diaphragm and 1" bore Aisin Master - cyl upgrade/new t-case output shaft stake nut and both new rear hd u-joints.......

..........But, I have a remaining glitch in the rear window up/down operation that needs fixing(camry motor is 10x better and it flies now!....but it still has the occasional "doesnt wanna open glitch" lol..... And I will be also replacing the inner weatherstripping for the rear gate in the next couple days as well......

I also am about to dig into the pass door lock cyl to get the code for my new OEM ignition lock cyl cut to fit the key set I'm ordering (dealer can see my vin but no longet have any personal code or other specific info on record)..... I will do a full write up of this as well......

Right now I am going to also be adjusting the camber setting as my pass side wheel iscambered on me since adjusting the t-bars back to where it is now. ....

I wanted it in a spot that was free of cold weather (panels are fully insulated) and up enough, and there is a perfect lil tab right there in the panel. Front one is here......

Wow, thanks! Haha.... well, tell her I've driven both, and while jeeps can be fun.... they just do NOT have the longevity or durability that these old buggers do.....which has, for most of my jeep owning acquaintances, led to working on them more/HAVING to beefy-mod them more. Plus, the top comes off mine, unlike a cherokee, .......c'momnnnn! Hahaha.

Chef that's great stuff man. I have both my 93 and 87 that been working on. I've completely parked my 87 trying to get things together for the SAS. Mines not a ordinary SAS tho. I doing a complete frame swap with the SAS so my works cut out there. I've made the 93 my DD so when I start something on it I must finish it the same day. You check out most my 93 work in my build thread.
