My 1990 Hilux 4x4 Extra Cab. I am the original owner. I bought brand new in 1990 for $12,000.

It has 320,000 miles and it has been everywhere in Oregon.
Best god damn truck I ever owned. It has never left me by the side of the road and I am not afraid to drive it anywhere.

When I first bought it, I put 1000 miles on it and drained the oil. Then added Mobil 1 and it has been Mobil 1 ever since. In fact it was so long ago, Mobil 1 still came in a metal can...

Still has plenty of torque.

Yeah, my registration says "Deluxe" but I have always call it "Hilux" since day one.

"delux" refers to the package, ie- base, delux, sr5. it's right in the middle.

Pre-Tacoma North American models are Pickups, not Hilux. Hilux is the overseas model.

When I switched to manual hubs I flipped the colors on the hubs and made the ring red.

No extreme offroading cus I have a tcase from a much newer 4x4 toy and have not quite figured out how to connect it.

And my police spotlight, convenient, but to not get in the way of turning the steering wheel I ride with it pointing to the hood. If I were to do it again, which I probably will, about two to three inches higher.

LOL I know I know.. and Void got it right... The only Hilux I've ever known is the 4 dr foreign models. I noticed his was nearly identical to mine, minus the v6, so I was trying to figure out what made his a Hilux and mine a dx(?)...

I got it now, I'm good.

OTVoid..... GREAT PICS! All of them. Something about wide open spaces surrounded by water.......JUST INCREDIBLE BEAUTY and a "Majestic" presence to it when you can see for miles and miles! With the right conditions, the sunsets, views, etc., can just be SO INCREDIBLE!

anyway, love the pics and nice rig, man.... whatever it is! hahaha. Jk.... LOVE those Extra Cabs like you and Ian and BMcel and Badger roll! ........ and ALL OF EM ARE RED, TOO! hahaha... Yeah, I'm a sucker for a Red Yota! lol.

BTW... PIC WHORING IS FINE! hahaha... not sure where he went, but there was a guy "Bigblueyota" or something like that... SICK lil 3rd Gen pick up..... But MAN, he could post some flurry's! hahaha. Miss seeing it actually.........

Keep Surfing the Surf!
