Based on the stop and go driving you do, 12 sounds normal to me.

'80 4x2 20R 32x11.50s 4.10s and about 200lbs of gear in the toolbox. 21mpg mixed driving. Will be driving to Central Oregon and back this weekend...I'm anxious to see the highway mileage.

Thumbs up canada is pretty kick ass with the measureing system

Not quite as quaint as the 12 inches equals one foot deal, and three of them to a yard. Then there's 5280 feet to a mile. Or freezing at 32 farenheit and 212 degrees for boiling.

Nice system.

And by the way, I get roughly 12.5 liters per 100 kms. Which would be approximately 22.6 miles per Imperial gallon, or 18.82 miles per US gallon.

As you can see in my sig line, I'm running a 3.4 liter engine with 265/85R15...er, 33"x10.5"x15" tires.

My calculations also show that 8 out of 24 posts, as of this writing, are by Canadians, giving you 33.3% (or 1/3) of the posts from Canada, not the 90% you claim. Don't forget the 1 guy from Belize, which is not part of the US.

Canada is my neighbor and i wish we used kms on the highway. id think i was going way faster

88 4runner 3vze 5 speed swap, free flow exhaust, "custom" air intake i guess youd call it. Its on 31x10.5x15 mt/s and in the city i get 18, not really sure on highway mileage because the only time i drive highway its loaded down with gear to go wheeling.

HAHAHAHA.... Just about spat coffee again! hahaha. .DANG YOU GUYS! NO, actually, I have a Rumor2.... it's been a fine phone and served my interests... But as my life changes, and buttons stop working(it's only 2 years old, maybe 3)... I've decided I need to just have a 4G plan already! hahaha.

Can't decide on iPhone or Galaxy3 or ...whatever. I like the bigger screens and buttons for my potatoes for fingers that the Galaxy and HTC EVO's have.... Just not sure if it's like everyone with an iPhone says, when I ask why the iPhone is better than the Galaxy3, "Well, it's just better. It's stronger, has better battery life and, ...it's just better!" hahaha. I like the nearly 5" screen of the Galaxy3 and yet, the buttons for typing on the HTC Evo are better! lol... Plus they told me, "It has Beats Audio",...which I guess is better? (YES, I KNOW DR. DRE BEATS GEAR... I had a set of headphones that got STOLEN! Never again, too expensive... But they DID ROCK! haha... PLUS< I hate wearing headphones... As much as I hate wearing a hat... Just a personal thing i guess, ya know?)

I HATE THIS CRAP of having to ask other people what's best... I guess the iPHone is more proven... But I just hate to deal with APPLE! haha. Feel so locked in, ...NO?

I already have GPS, but it would be nice to have it all just on my phone, ya know? Ditch the TomTom and use my phone for EVERYTHING, like that. Plus, I'm searching for vehicles to restore/sell... (maybe keep one, sure, hahaha).... Would really help to have the NET on my phone... Why bother on my LG Rumor 2, right? THE SCREEN IS TINY! It was more of a choice because I didn't need anything but a good Querty Keyboard, ...... YES< because I have 2 daughters that TEXTED ME TO DEATH FOR DAYS! haha... Now I can have voice text, GPS, search for rigs, and 16Gig's minimum of internal memory, ready to go for my music, etc.,(already have a 64 Gig Micro SD... So If I can't live with THAT on a road trip, music and movie wise... HOLY CRAPULA, I'm in trouble! hahaha).

Sorry for the tangent.. but it's driving me NUTS! My daughter said, "That Samsung Galaxy3 feels like a light lil cheap thing that I could break with NO EFFORT on accident!".... But they have safety cases, I said, .... "Meh, I like my iPhone!" was her response! hahahah.

I get 18 mpg pretty consistently with a 50/50 mix of city/hwy. On longer hwy trips, it doesnt shock me to get 21+.

I have the 3.0 v6 and I put 87 octane in it.

Chef.. Get the iPhone 4 or 4s. The 4 is nicely priced right now because the 4s came out. It's about $100. If you pay a little extra you can get the 4s which has a few more features. I'm happy with my 4 and like it a lot more than androids and other phones.

Hahahaha... Hmmmmm, lets see..... I had the Samsung BIG FAT SOMETHING OR ANOTHER at one time,... round 96.... Then a Nokia non-flip... Phone actually had EXCELLENT reception compared to others...... Then I got a Katana...... Then the Rumor2 and that's where I'm at now. Actually, the Rumor2 was good to me..... But the buttons are starting to stick... And already, I had to take the Rumor2 in a few months ago because a movie ticket stub, as I put it in my pocket, slid in between the slides for the querty and screen side.... and tore the tape that joins em.... I couldn't use it, PERIOD!

Now I'm going to look for a thread that's already started on "WHAT PHONE SHOULD I GET" and watch HIM/HER get mocked so I don't have to! hahaha... Maybe some CNet reviews, Majorgeek.com stuff... whatever seems most informative! hahah. SHOCKED how many iPhones I see... But seem to see MANY droids, too. Anywhoooo, Sprint has iPhone now... so that wouldn't be impossible, 85xtraCab.

The thing I like most about the iPhones is they just work. No (or hardly any) glitching compared to an Android phone. I won't go into the jailbreak discussion but if you want an iPhone with the flexibility of an Android device, that's how ya do it.

Thanks for the input, BMcel! I hear ya.... My main problem is that the iPHone seemed to be harder for me to text with and type with when test using it at the store. I REALLY like the bigger screens of the HTC EVO 4.0-WHATEVER IT IS, hahaha.. and the Samsung Galaxy S3...

Yeah, sorry, didn't mean to tangent'ify this thread, .....sorry guys! hehehe.

94 4Runner, 22re 5 speed, stock 4.10's, no lift (not yet), no cat (came that way) and Thrush Turbo, 235/75-15's....I've gotten as low as 17.xx mpg to almost 22 mpg (depends how heavy my foot is on the highway).

In the winter driving with the hubs locked and occasionally using four wheel drive, I get anywhere from 16.xx mpg to 19.xx mpg.

Got me a basic 91 2wd 22re 2wd daily beater with 269,000 miles.Fixed some of oil and water leaks and tuned to OEM specs and getting a unreal 28 miles per gallon.

The truck has pacesetter headers with a flowmaster 40 and 2" exhaust pipe.
Everything else is basically stock.

WHat did you tune to factory OEM specs engine wise to bump the mileage? I can barely squeeze 24-25 mpg out of the same truck.
