I've also got a 1988 3.0 5 speed with 265/75/15 MTs and 4.88 gears. new motor with about 1500 miles on it.

did a weekend trip recently, loaded with gear and got 18.6 mpg, most around 60 mph. 15-16 in the city but it's all hills here.

2002 TRD Taco 4x4 Quad Cab with an Air Raid intake, TRD exhaust, Performance Products coil overs, Badlands bumper, Warn XD-9000i, all Mobil 1 fluids, Mud Terrains, and that gets me a brutal 15mpg no matter how I drive.

My 87 22r 5-speed pickup with 31" bfgs got 18-19 city/20-22 highway before the head gasket blew. Haven't filled up since getting it back together but it probably won't change. The cat is still clogged up.

I had a 94 3.0 4runner with 31s, everything else stock, and automatic and I always got around 12 mpg. It was pathetic. That was a solid rig (way better than the 87 pickup in snow) but the mileage was always terrible. On one tank, right after the transmission was rebuilt, I got 22 mpg. And that was it. The next tank was right back at 12-13.

I get 15-17 mpg city or hwy. I recently pulled a trailer from austin to houston and got 10.4 mpg. Man that was depressing
