Just had my rebuilt 3.0 installed and filled up... 15.8 on the Hwy and about 13 in the city. I have idle surge due to a hole in my intake hose leading up to my throttle body. Hopefully after the break in period and fixing that problem these numbers will improve.
Im running 33inch tires. I with a 4inch lift. Has anyone tried adding an intake or even just a k&n drop in intake add any mpg's?

i recently got a good test on my mpg, 400 mile round trip and had someone folloing me that has a accurate odometer, i got 22mpg at 75-80mph

22re 5 speed 2wd 3.27 gears 31" tires i imagine after re gearing 25 wont be outta the question. or driving slower...lol (speed limit is 75 even at 80 on the gps you still have cars that pass you)

22R/RE? That seems a little low for a 2wd. I can't say what my mileage is like but my dad's '88 longbed with a 22R used to get over 30mpg.
