Its a 22re. I just bought it 2 weeks ago and that was the first tank of gas I ran through it. I only drive it to work and home which is 30 miles on the nose so I used that to calc my milage. My speedo doesnt work (the gear on the output shaft is missing the clip or whatever holds it on there is missing) so I could have missed a day of travel when I figured it up. It was also running a little rough and I have since done a tune up and good ole seafoam treatment. Should be better next tank full. Now if I can figure out my speedo deal.

10-11 mpg
Camry vafm swap, isr mod, manual hubs, moog rear coils
Not sure why my mileage is that bad, i would expect at least 12 or 13.
Seafoamed the intake and fuel a week or 2 ago.
Have been driving it slightly fast with the new intake though haha, i like the sound of it but even before the intake it was still that bad.

When I first got my truck about a year ago I got 25 on the highway, 20 on country roads(about 40 mph). But the carb was not adjusted right, and it had less power than a metro it seemed. Had to floor it in 4th at 55 just to get up a little hill. After adjusting the carb and doing other tune up stuff(normal stuff and then rejetting the carb), I got a lot more power but mileage gradually went down. Right now with 22re/weber intake, headers, 2.25 exhaust, 31" tires 32psi, stock gears, 5spd, removed vacuum hoses, off-road lights, tailgate open, driving really easy at about 40 mph(average), I got 17 on the last tank. Anybody have a similar set up with weber carb? I'd like to know your jet settings and compare with mine. I'm guessing I've got about 140-150 hp, which I'm happy with but would like some better mileage. Any suggestions?

BUT.... i live in colorado and have less effective compression here than someone at sea level and can get away with that much timing without a ping

Mileage??

3VZE | 5spd | K&N cai w/AEM dry filter | 2.5" Magnaflow catback | 31x10.5x15 ProComp X-Terrain's on KMC wheels | VMAF mod (3 clicks lean, might do more once I get a AF meter in her | timing usually around 12* BTDC.

Mileage (mpg) before VMAF mod:
14 City
16 Highway

After VMAF mod:
15 City
18 Highway

If I use Z-Max fuel treatment on the highway long distance trips then my mileage is: 21-22mpg

1994 Toyota 4runner sr5 3.0 v6 with 31x10.5 Baja Champion tires wrapped around 15 inch stock Toyota rims for now. It's about 20 miles to the gallon on the interstate but this new K&N air filter I just got, Got it to about 21 or 22 mpg. When I'm not driving like an idiot that is lol

Hey 86owner, do yourself the favor and don't drive with the tailgate down, it actually creates more wind drag(in a down force on the back of the truck) making your 22re work harder.... have u ever had a trash bag in your bed? notice when u drive at higher speeds, the bag float arround and not fly away? well that vortex of wind gets created in your bed, and makes wind flow over it..
anyways etc... you get better millage with tail up. just a thought.
