I have a stock 1992 with 31 1050's with brand new NGK spark plugs and I get 18mpg. and about 19mpg on highway/freeway.
I'm going to put some 33 1250's on after a bj spacer lift with stock gears and I hope I don't get 14mpg!!

Bought my 95 4Runner SR5 3.0 auto 165k miles stock with 265's last Saturday and a 200 mile trip on Sunday averaged 18.25 mostly hwy both ways. It does have a CEL on, idles way to low (500rpm) and has a little missfire but I didnt think the MPG was bad for all that.

So I know I already posted here, but I just moved from Georgia to Montana. I recorded every stop for gas and thought I'd post the results. I drove my '93 x-cab, 3.0, 33x12.50 mud terrains, 4.56 gears, with a camper top and a full load of all of my crap.
I recorded a low of 10.75 and a high of 17.65. The low came, I think, when I was driving head-long into a blizzard across South Dakota. My overall average was 13.64. It may also be beneficial to note that my fan pulley seized up about half way through the trip, and it was fixed by installing an electric fan. From that point, Sioux City, IA, on I only had a belt on the alternator since I removed the A/C a long time ago and there was a clearance issue with the P/S belt.

I have a 3.0 and I usually get around 18 - 19mpg in town and highway mixed..
I took a trip up to the mountains to go boarding and I gauged the mpg and I got over 19 1/2 mpg! It was cool. lol
I may keep 31's because of the mpg. but I want 32s or 33s soooo bad!

I think I found part of the problem. The transmission shop gave me a "complimentary oil change" with the gearbox rebuild, which I took.
I happened to check the stick today and it's about 3qts overfull (!!). I drained it down to the top of the full mark. What a mess that made, thank god for kitty litter!

17.8 mpg summer months (w/AC) combined city / hwy
19.6 mpg winter months
One time I did manage to get just over 20 while going downhill with a tail wind.
'94 V6 Xtra cab 5spd, box stock.
Fuel consumption average based on ~90k miles in the past 10 yrs.
All gas use and mileage recorded. (A bad habit I inherited from my folks.)

i some how pulled off 23.5 with my 02 3.4 auto. 315 miles on 13.4 gal, it was due to being in altitude and speeds from 55-65 mpg most of the way and down to 20-40 because of no visibility in the the blizzard i got to drive through.

On my trip from Colorado to SoCal I was averaging 15-17 mpg driving 65-70 and 87 octane gas the whole way. There are a lot of hills to climb up and down along that trip. I may need a tune up or something. I think I should have done a little better than that.
