15 mpg combined

22re on 33s

it was 17 mpg on 31s

horrible compared to what some of you guys are getting

the problem is something to do with my egr, i've been procrastinating on diagnosing it though. the egr valve is upwards of a hundred bucks, the o2 sensor as well. next weekend i'm going to take everything apart and start a process of elimination...

Passed everything else on Raton Pass though!

last time i went to browns camp i had all my gear, food, tools, spare parts, and 3 bikes in the truck, 1 passenger. definately not driving it easily or gas conservatively (mostly in speeds around 80-90 on the pass and backroads).

3.4L 5spd ext cab taco
4.5" deckplate, stock motor other than that

22-23mpg hwy
18 around town in hillsburo
14 mpg over 70 miles of strictly trail driving

94 SR5 4Runner. Standard 3.0LV6 automatic with 31x10.50 radials. Heavy duty springs in the rear accompanied by 400+ lbs of sand in the back to tame the ride, and tools just because. 75% highway driving at about 55 mph yields 16-16.5 mpg. Before the springs and sand I could get up to 17.4.

1999 4runner, stock including tires

...9.5mpg someone help

I'm gonna give it a tune up and check the brakes, axles anything else that might cause resistance. Maybe some injector cleaner.

Seafoam right away.

I got a '91 Pick Up 22re stock everything except for I think a 2" or 3" lift. We took a 135 mile round trip past 3 days to go hit the slopes. Put $20 in on a empty tank at $1.65 a gallon. Filled it up to 3/4 tank it is now at about 3/8 of a tank.

So I am thinking we used about 6 gallons of petro in a 135 mile run...

135/6 = 22.5

Crazy...

Must be the recent oil/spark plug change.
