no power to the ignition

I have a 86 toyota pickup 2wd.
It has a brand new rebuilt engine. may have 4000 miles on it.

The truck is not getting no power to the ignition. When you turn the key nothing comes on. Not a check engine light, not battery nothing comes on the dash. You can turn the key and nothing happens.

I replaced the ignition switch and still nothing.
Replaced the starter not long ago.

And ideas how to fix this problem?

Just an FYI large font doesn't equate to quick response. *shrug*

OK. You just replaced the starter a little while ago. Why?

Be sure and check where the ground cable is grounded, be sure the positive cable is firmly attached to the battery.

After that (since it's pretty fast and easy) have you checked your fuses? There are a bunch of them.

Since you also mentioned that you replaced the ignition switch I need to know if the problem was there before the switch was replaced or not.

Hope this helps.

Yeah i didnt mean to make it bigger font. I changed the starter b/c thats what the mechanic told me to change. I checked all of my fuses. Unless there are some that idk about. Theres only a fuse box under the hood behind the battery.
I checked my grounds and positive wires. I checked all my fuses. none blown.
I've been trying to figure it out for the past couple of days. Thats why it was fast.

I checked both of the fuse boxes.
The only thing idk who did it or what mechanic but they had a wire running from the fuse box to the gas tank. which im guess is to the fuel pump.

I just dk what else to do on it.

Now that is funny. It just happened.

Get a multimeter and start checking voltages.

Check your clutch safety start switch locates behind the clutch peddle, There's a rubber pad that can be worn or missing. Noting will happen. You can buy new pads on Ebay. Mine after 32 years crumbled and disintegrated, so it would not engage the switch to let the truck start. No nothing happened.

Or could be the switch is bad or out out alignment. They are available at various parts store online.

1989 toyota 3.0

I have a toyota that has just quit running on me. No trace of power to ignition coil or ICM.
No spark what so ever
I turn the key on and all I get is the brake light and nothing else. No cel or battery.
Is there any suggestions i have tried to replace ignition coil, module and mass air flow and still have no spark

Using your multimeter, measure the voltage to ground (key-on) from each of the two metal tabs on the tops of the fuses. (Start in the under-hood fuse box.) The fuse that has voltage on one tab but not the other is blown.
