Won't start...electrical..please help!?

1990 Toyota 4runner,226,000 miles,3.0,automatic.
New alternator (1 year ago),new starter,(6 months ago),new ignition switch,with a starter button installed as well(6 months ago),new dist. cap,rotor,plugs,wires,(1 week ago).
Everything in general, runs great. Except for this recent non starting/no juice problem.
Note:the starter button was added after a previous, non cranking issue. I replaced starter and igniton switch and it still didnt start. Since the starter button was installed,it has started...EVERYTIME. Yes,the starter button is wired through the cold start injector.

Current non starting sypmtom(s):
Put key in ignition and no door ajar warning buzzer,no power windows working,no interior lights or dash lights working,no outside lights...but...with key in on position and I hit starter button, engine will crank but wont start.
It did this approx 2 weeks ago,...a friend of mine which is a mechanic, asked me to check the fuses.
I did so...I actually pulled each fuse out and out it back in,even the ones under the hood.
5 minutes later,it started.
Today...all the above sypmtoms happened again,I went through the same fuse check procedure and even replaced all the fuses. Still...it cranks, but it wont start.
No "door ajar" buzzer when I insert key into ignition,no power windows,no lights, etc.
My fuse panel, shows a "spot" for a 20 amp fuse, for the ECU. My mechanics first words were,"check the ECU fuse".
Ironically, their is no fuse in that spot!
Their never was!
I put a 20 amp fuse in that spot today, and it didnt make any difference.
Could one of you Yota guru's please help me figure out,why I have no juice, where to look, etc.
I just started a new job after being out of work for 8 months and the very last thing I need is for this truck to leave me sit.
So far today,it cost me $150.00 towing bill...which I already could not afford. The truck is at my friends shop, awaiting him to get on it tomorrow and I would like as much info as possible so we can figure this out.
Please help!!!
Thank you!

ive got an odd issue like that, but does it feel like the key is doing anything? or is it just turning with no resistance? my ignition switch (the one with all the wires hooked to it on the other side of the key) is kinda been worn out and the key cylinder doesent allways catch it...take the bottom part of your steering colum off, take out the 1 philips screw holding it. pull er out and stick the key in and rotate should have ur buzzers and such turn on and then you can start her with the start button....i think
