Need quick fix for 1/4 panel wheel flares on 1988 4runner

I just bought a 1988 4runner from the only owner. Truck is in excellenant shape, but the usual rust spots. Is there any quick fixes out there, till i can buy fender flares?

Quick fixes and body work are never a good combination. It just makes a proper fix more challenging. Do it once, do it right, buy the right parts the first time. If its rusting on the outside on your wheel arch, its rusting on the inside too. Likely much worse.
