locker?

87 4runner 5spd 5in on 33s. i have two ? to ask 1st can i lock just one axle and if yes which one would be better to do (ifs front). mud,fr trails,

Yes you can lock 1 axle. Do the Rear, Detroit.

Rear- stronger axles and better for hill climbing, probably the best choice.

Front- better for rockclimbing (?) and totally invisible on road in you never use 4wd on the road, but weaker axles and harder to steer offroad.

Aussie lockers are great, see my sig for a review.

If you lock the front of an IFS truck and go wheeling in about 15 minutes you gonna have no lockers again.

This is a common misconception on the internet.

This is argument has already been had. Search "IFS front locker". Read stuff by TC and AxleIke.
