move to southern arizona or southern nevada... no rust there... lol. since im back in cali, i plan on taking the body off mine sometime and sanding the rust off the frame(surface rust, maybe 2 inches in diameter) and coating the whole thing with that rust paint everyone loves on here, cant think of the name right now. for what ur gonna do id say a new bed.

If you are doing some crawling, than no box or flatbed. If not, than a new box is going to be the cleanest solution, and keep the trucks value up for resale later. A clean new box can be pricey as they are getting fewer all the time, although I am up in Canada where they are almost all rusted out by now. I got lucky about 3 or 4 years ago and got the whole box (very clean) for $400 or $600, can't remember, but at the time everybody was asking $1000.

Cool work on the truck... but what are you going to do with the sawzall?

anyways, how about a 5th wheel hitch on the frame, dually on the rear and some flaps behind teh wheels? You could call it "toyobilt" or "toyliner" or "macktoy"
and have a 15' camper behind the truck, custom built to not be any higher....
